Lets get the SC gang together and make a road trip out of this!

According to Mapquest, Columbia to Las Vegas is 2206 miles, 38 hrs 45 min of driving.

I don't think so.

I am making plans to attend, but I will arrive by USAir or Delta since they are the only Airlines that have commuter service to The Swamp. (and I have enough FF miles on both.)

My only qusetion is, do I fly out early to hang out and help out?

Of course! Never having been there before, you can check out the lay of the land and fill in the rest of us as we get there. And I know that Dio and the rest would appreciate any help that you could give them.

I been ponderin' about the CPAC-whatsit in D.C., mebbe I'll make it up this next time but it'll be an act of Gawd what with thesis writin' and whatnot...

That sounds like an excellent excuse to spend an additional night in Vegas. I hope Mrs.SwampFox buys it!

LNM!,
Because of the large number of Texas women that will be in attendance, I will chaperone The Shrew.

LNM! I don't think I would trust either of these two gentlemen with chaperone duty! I can just see the arch in Swamp Foxes eyebrow right now and the sparkle in his eyes. Smart and Chesty would most probably be better bets for Chaperones... no wait, not them either. Hmmmmmmmmm, Do we have any 90 year old men, no wait, that wouldn't work either!!! Gosh LNM,

South Carolinians are we going to let those Floridians and Texans outnumber us? Oops, guess we will being a small chapter. We may be small in numbers, but not in spirit.

Speaking of politicians, would the Congresscritter from FreeRepublic be a useful addition to the fray? Leave me know.

No, No, No, dixie.

I was volunteering to chaperone the men, because of the high number of strong-willed women that will be present.

You know most men just go weak in the knees when faced with brains and beauty, they have no defenses.

Luckily, because of my Navy training and cat-like reflexes, I am not as susceptible as an average man.

Aim small, miss small.
