Did Woody Jenkins Announce A Senate Run?

I heard he's disappointed with Cooksey's performance and he's announced his intention to run ... is this true?

Woody lost the race for two reasons:
1. He was trashed by neo-cons and pseudocons before the primary. The 'he's too far to right' kind of crap
2. There was a lot of crookedness in the general election in Orleans Parish.
I doubt if he'd try again.

I saw him on Saturday at a pro-family rally hosted by Tony Perkins. He is fully and heartily endorsing Tony Perkins for the seat held by Liberal Senator Landrieu. We've discussed this race a number of times here on Free Republic over the past week or so. Try http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/campaign2002/775406/posts for one of those discussions.

Suzie Terrell has also entered the race and is considered by many to be the frontrunner at this point. The NRSC has put about half a million dollars into her campaign. I saw her at the Louisiana Senate Candidate Forum held in Ascension Parish in August. I was very impressed with her although I am still supporting Mr. Perkins.
