McKinney Wants Two Investigations

Georgia Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney seemed unmoved by President Bush's insistence Friday that he did not ignore warning signs about the Sept. 11 attacks.
McKinney, who spoke as she tried to escape reporters in DeKalb County, said Congress should launch not one, but at least two investigations.
McKinney, who was widely criticized after insisting in March that Bush ignored warnings of an impending attack, said Friday that all she ever wanted was an investigation.
11Alive's Jon Shirek asked McKinney about critics who called her reprehensible for suggesting that President Bush might have allowed the attacks so his friends in the defense industries could profit from a war.
"Well, you know, I never said that, and it's very important that we understand, I called for an investigation," she responded.
On March 25, McKinney told listeners of KPFA-FM in Berkeley, Calif., that former President Bush might be making money from the defense industry during this war.
McKinney said, "Former President Bush sits on the board of the Carlyle Group. The Los Angeles Times reports that on a single day last month, Carlyle earned $237 billion selling shares...the army's fifth largest contractor."
McKinney asked Friday why Congress should not investigate the former president, his son, and the defense industries.
"And that's an investigation also that could take place along the lines of the Enron investigation," she said.
Denise Majette, a retired state judge seeking to unseat McKinney in Georgia's 4th District, said McKinney succeeds only at making inflammatory statements she can't back up to get attention and votes.
"Trying to divert attention from the real issues. The fact that she's been a totally ineffective legislator in the ten years that she's been in Congress," said Majette.
McKinney says only that she is gratified that so many others, including Majette, have joined her in calling for an investigation of what the president knew before the attacks.

Thanks hole_n_one, I knew it was something like that. I still would not want to be her on our Vice Presidents mind with-out "hard evidence" to back up her accusations. It's one thing to question, we all should, it's another to just speculate and out-right accuse our president of diliberatly sitting back and allowiing thousands of Americans to die.

McKinney is ready for the rubber room.
It's scary to think we have a loon like this in Congress.

The DemoncRATS admire lunacy in their candidates. It also helps if they are liars, cheaters, perjurers, etc. Need some examples?....I didn't think so!

Sure looks that way. McKinney has many Arab financial supporters. A thread from earlier this week has a detailed list. Lots of donations came in on 9/11 by 'coincidence' I'm sure. /sarcasm

she's so stupid she doesn't understand how ridiculous the number is. And your point is? To those of us who live in her district, and suffer watching her treasonous actions and general idiocy, have known the above for nearly a decade.

McKinney is a liar. She made some outrageous statements without any evidence to support them, now she's trying to say she didn't say what she said.

Jorge, Maybe McKinney knows exactly what she is doing and exactly why she is being divisive. Maybe McKinney is not "a loon" at all.

McKinney Wants Two Investigations I have a couple of investigation ideas, too. First, how does Cynthia McKinney keep her butt balanced on her neck like that; and second, how did she teach it to talk?

Thanks for the good job y'all did yesterday. Wish I could have been there!

She never said that?
She claimed that Bush knew about 911 and allowed it to happen and added that he had friends and family who would profit from the war.
What she said is clear as a bell, and numerous journalists wrote about it.
Now she wants to deny and redefine what she said because nearly everybody thinks she is a kook.
She is also a liar and a coward.

Hey! Good to see you again. I'm sorry you weren't there too, we could have used your support. But there will be more freeping opportunities, especially as we get closer to November. I noticed you have your flag flying on your profile! :-)

Yes, I saw that. Seems McKinney has a lot of Arab and Muslim donors, and some with links to terrorism.
She isn't really attacking Bush because he didn't fight terrorism to her satisfaction at all...but rather because he's become the world leader in the war on terrorism.
She's trying to undermine him anyway she can.
She needs to be investigated.
