The Petition to New York City regarding the Firefighter Memorial

protesting the originally proposed Ground Zero Flag Raising Statue and seeking that any future plans for a memorial be non-political and historically correct, has surpassed the 400,000 signature mark. It now stands at:

400,001 Signatures

We will keep this petition going until it is clear that future plans for the memorial are not politcally driven and are not revisionist. That being the case, please continue to point others towards the petition site at:

to sign and forward the petition on to all they know.

We are winning this fight since the original statue has been cancelled and other plans to date appear not to be political or revisionist.

In as much as the attention and notice has dropped way off due to the cancellation of the originally planned revisionist statue, and since the signature rate has fallen dramtically off ... this will be the last post regarding this subject ... short of new revisionist plans of course.

*Hurts to Touch*

A goober was constantly complaining about how everywhere she touched her
body, it hurt.

Her grandma told her to go and see a doctor.

Once there, the goober explained to the doctor how everywhere she
touched, it hurt.

She said, "If I touch here, it hurts, if I touch my arm, it hurts, if I
touch my foot, if I . . . "

The doctor gave her a complete physical and then delivered his findings.

Her finger was broken.

Interesting. It's been exactly two years since this petition broke the 400,000 mark and within a couple of months thereafter it was announced that the offensive monument would not be built.

In the ensuing 22 or so months since that announcement, the petition has gathered another 22,784 signatures.

One of the recent ones, from April 11 of this year, reads...

It is a sick travesty to distort such an event just to satisfy certain skewed and misguided social agendas. Whoever conceived the idea of doctoring up the picture to show "diversity" ought to be ashamed of him or herself. You do NOT doctor up history, ESPECIALLY history of that magnitude. Portray it as it really was, not as some people would have liked it to have been. For Heaven's sake is nothing sacred?!

Still very heartwarming and encouraging to read such sentiments.

Even though the immediate battle was won over that issue...the underlying efforts that created the problem continue on and this grassroots efforts stands as a model regarding how such attempts can be defeated.

It was an exciting and awe inspiring thing to see so many people, all over and so quickly rise to that challenge.

The petition made more than a few lying liberals squirm and sent the message that we will "not" always be silent when confronted with the PCBS lies.
