One of the most controversial issues the Broward County School Board has faced in the past six months will erupt again Tuesday. The board will reconsider ratifying a proposal by GLSEN, a gay rights group, to teach educators how to deal with homosexual students.
"There is going to be a massive showing. Every pro-family activist I know is going to be there," said Brian Craig, producer for conservative radio talk show host Steve Kane.

Thanks, we're giving a lot of people an "Education" today. I think GLSEN is going to be pretty dissappointed come next Tuesday!

Those who will vote on this will be disappointed come election time.

You're probably right, but don't underestimate them - they can (and do) bring in activists from around the country on short notice. The fact that these activists don't have kids in the schools doesn't matter to them (see reply 67 in GrandMoM's thread). And they are very well funded. They can be defeated, but it will take some effort.

Great work on exposing this stuff.
It's scary, but the truth needs to be told.

Board member Lois Wexler, who voted for the proposal... said Tuesday she revived the proposal because she thinks she has the votes. "This is about legitimacy," Wexler said. "Bringing it back really is to validate the existence of GLSEN and its relationship with the school district which has been put on hold the entire school year."That really makes a lot of sense, does it not! The woman wants to "validate" the existence of GLSEN and its relationship with the school district! These people simply have no shame.
By the way, isn't Clinton apologist, Congressman Wexler, also from this area? Is this woman related? (One can have little doubt, from the way that her mind works--or perhaps spasms would be the better term--that she was a Clinton/Gore voter.)
