This special little ad -
appears in the April edition of "Working Mother" magazine, and probably a lot of other places. I saw it whilst flipping through the magazine at the optometrist's office.
The small print makes it "clear" that if your child visits another child whose family owns Evil Guns, they are at great risk. The little girl looks like she's been beaten, and she's "dressed appropriately" in body armor for visiting those friends whose family owns guns.
This blatant and disgusting propaganda is sponsored by Asking Saves Kids You might want to visit their website and/or email them at staff@paxusa.com or staff@pax.com. You can call them at 212-983-8705.
This is pathetic.

Ask your kids friends parents if you should worry about their kid rummaging through your draws. Do you mean draws or drawers? Kids rummaging through my draws would get one of us arrested. Unless you intended this for another thread in which case, abstinence makes the church grow fondlers.

Association is the key word buddy ;-)
Maybe we should form a Planned Parenthood Association and start supporting Pro-Life programs. Hehehe.
To: Lazamataz
Oooo, how about a Handgun in Control Association. I like that.

I saw an anti-gun ad on TV which really PISSED ME OFF!!! This little kid's voice (about 5 years old) says how she accidentally killed another kid with a gun. Poor little kid; poor little voice. Then they come on saying we should all lock up our guns to keep them away from kids, like we don't already know how to protect our kids! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

The last time I saw one of these ads, also at the doctor office, I took a pen out of my purse and wrote a few messages on the ad. At least if anyone else saw it after I did, they knew what I thought about the ad.

Responsible owners secure their weapons. Why secure your weapons? When I was growing up my parents didn't have to secure their weapons to keep me away from them. They taught me to use and respect guns. My first 410 shotgun stood taller than me.
I didn't secure my weapons from my kids either. When are parents going to take the lead here and teach responsibility to their kids instead of locking things up so that they can't get to them? That doesn't teach them a darn thing - it just raises their curiosity and their desire to get to this evil thing that they are not supposed to have.
Put a gun in their hand and teach them safety and responsibility!!

If it saves ONE Liberal Politician's career, then isn't it worth it?

I have to see the same kind thing whenever I go with my family to Boston. For a while, on the outer wall of Fenway Park, there was this sign going on about how few gun laws had been passed. Then after 9/11 they put up a memorial sign. I was relieved, thinking that they had removed that gun grabbing eyesore. But at the far end of the sign there was in small letters "respectfully stop handgun violence." That sign seems worse than the previous, using 9/11 to push an agenda.

Yes, thank you...by the time I saw it....it was too late. You wouldn't believe the private emails I've gotten. Why, I even received one from the Catholic Church. <sarcasm

He will in time, but for now I'll just keep them out of his reach. The safe is primarily to prevent theft.

thw question should be: "Do you have a gun in the house? And, if not, WHY NOT! I won't let my kid stay at a home that is undefended. I can't believe that you do not care abou the safety and welfare of your children!"
To: Jefferson Adams
I could honestly answer I do not have "A" gun in the house. I do however have a whole slew of guns in the house from air pistol to Class III.
To: Jefferson Adams
So what have we learned? 60% of homes are owned by people who don't care what happens to their kids or dogs. A couple of years ago, we had some rather nasty home invasions. There were two groups operating about the same time. Unarmed people were killed and injured. That is until these criminal scum decided to play the odds and hit houses in the 40%. Their careers ended suddenly. For good. A mean dog would have just been another victim in these cases.
