Radioactive cache found in Kabul

UK troops in Kabul have discovered a cache of radioactive equipment, capable of making nuclear weapons, that had been kept hidden from al-Qaida. The soldiers were said to be "astounded" by what they found in the basement of Kabul University and the ruins of a mental hospital, after being led to it by two nuclear physicists. It included a broken radiotherapy machine, containing enough cobalt 60 to kill a man instantly.

A single man? Somehow, this doesn't scare me that much.

This story really, really, really, doesn't add up. The term "nuclear weapons" is a poor choice of words, because people automatically assume that means an actual nuclear explosive device; I'm sure what they meant was the much-ballyhooed (and somewhat overrated) "dirty bomb" which is just radioactive stuff mixed up with a plain old conventional explosive. And I suspect overall even the stuff they found is less of a big deal than it seems. Could just be a decrepit hospital where none of the radiological stuff was disposed of correctly.

Well, we sent Omar to get rid of that broken machine, but Omar died while trying to move it. Then we sent Khalid to try to move it, and he told us that it was broken almost in half before he died. Then we sent Anwar to move it, but he didn't make it out the door before he died. After Omar and Muhammed died trying to move it, we just decided that Allah's will was that we leave that broken machine down in the basement forever...
