Dubya knowingly signed an Unconstitutional bill today.
Since he seems determined to slap his base around like a crack whore whenever he takes a mind to, I propose an index to keep all this in perspective.
Please index UnConstitutional, UnConservative or moves Counter to his campaign platform with *Bush_Cave_List So we can keep an itemized list handy for 2004.
Then searching with keywords:

These men flew in international airspace at the behest of the President of the United States, and he govels and apologizes to the very Commies he wanted us to monitor. Did he get rid of MFN? Nope. Any show of force? Nope. Just the actions of a paper tiger.

I agree with these two issues...individuals can give more of their money to elections, in their own names and unions and non profits can stop giving their members dues to political campaigns...nothing wrong with that. It just doesn't seem like this bill is the end of civilization as we know it. (The illegals, on the other hand, might be)
He has been phenominal if you are a Democrat or other big government slob. He has been phenomenal at making government bigger and extending unconstitutional government programs. He has been phenomenal at starting trade wars and beginning the attempt to take over religions. He has been phenomenal at signing into law the "Patriot act" which is an abomination to liberty and now signing away our first amendment rights. Oh yeah, I agree, he is phenomenal at some things.
He gives in on CFR, which is the best thing for Repubs anyway, and you completely jump ship.

The House is GOP. In the House, mob rules. It only got to the floor because the GOP allowed it to get there. It could only pass with GOP votes.
The GOP is -2 seats in the Senate. You need to be -10 to lose a fight in the Senate. This passed because GOP senators voted for it.
The GOP has the WH. You need 2/3 of each body of Congress to pass something over the President's objections. GWB signed the bill. It is now law.
The GOP bought off on this at all three levels. What more do you need? GOOD GRIEF!!! Pull your head out of your a$$.
Uh let me see, Clinton probably would have sent them a few stealths and a thank you note. RR accomplished all that he could in his 8 yrs there's no comparison. He's not the one coming behind one of the most corrupt politicians in history trying to reclaim America's strength and sovereignty-No comparison. Bush is standing or falling on his own merits.
As well we should be :-) The liberals are the ones who are oh-so-cozy with government. If Bush goes too far left though, I would vote for somebody a bit more conservative.

I was making fun of those who, when faced with yet another Bush "souffle" maneuver - wherein he caves and collapses on yet another issue - get pissy at those who complain, by saying, "Soooooo, you'd rather have Gore???"
When Bush appoints Ralph Nader as Secretary of the Interior, it will be most amusing to hear the "Soooooo, you'd rather have Karl Marx??" lines coming from the apologists.
I will wait to see how this all plays out. I will make my final judement on election day, not every time the Administration does something I do not like.
I swear it is getting more and more like the run up to Y2k with all the dire predictions being made.

One thing I've always liked about being conservative and being around conservatives, we question things, we don't follow them blindly. You look at all of the people who voted for clintoon (and most of us know people who did). Even through all of the scandals and disgrace he brought upon the WH, they still stuck behind him. Some call this loyalty, I call this the sheep factor.
When Bush starts making mistakes or doing things that make no sense, you have conservatives who question it(I couldn't give you percentages, but probably a fairly large portion).
The few conservative sheep out there will and do call us traitors, and they try and portray us as idiots and losers, and yet we are the ones who are saying "Hey, wait a minute, this isn't the Bush that I voted for. How can he do that, he's a conservative?".
Just because I voted for the man, doesn't mean that once he's in office, doesn't mean he can have free reign and do whatever, without expecting any criticism. If anything, my having voted for him does in fact give me the right to criticize him.
