LINCOLN COUNTY, March 20 -- NASCAR star, Dale Earnhardt Junior has been charged with a crime.
The Lincoln County Sheriff's department says earlier this year Earnhardt and four other people were stopped for four wheeling on private property.
The investigating officer says the men were riding all-terrain vehicles. Earnhardt's charged with trespassing.

Well, at least he doesn't have a wife filing for divorce and wanting everything he owns.

If Dale, Jr. can't ride his 4-wheeler around the woods without people screaming 'trespass' then the terrorists have already won ...

They're charging him? What the hell ever happened to just asking them to leave the property? That's pretty much what we do around here (unless someone is poaching).

You ever see what four-wheelers can do, especially to soft, muddy turf? A bunch of kids did something similar to a local football field not long ago and did four figures in damage. Let these guys do it to their own property.

If a guy was tearing up a field or something like that, then yes he should get in trouble. If that were the case then why didn't they charge him with vandalism? Most farms in rural areas have trails which is what I suspect Jr. was on. Just a guess, though.

The ownership of the property is the only thing that matters here. Not what it's used for. Either private property is respected or it's not. If they broke the law, charge them appropriately. I don't care what the sodding perp's last name is, pardon the pun.

lord have mercy...if it were my property, i would probably have confronted all of them with a shotgun..asked what in the hell they thought they were doing on my property....then told them to go ride somewhere else or else told them where they could ride on my property....and yes..i have been there and done that....just spent a few minutes explaining to the kids what i expected and where i expected them to ride...they said "yessir" and followed all the rules....no more problems and no need for a $10.00 per hr gestapo to come out and intrude on my property or hassle the kids....besides i knew their daddys and if i had called them..they would have begged for me to call the police instead.

If this happened to me on MY property, I would have fainted. Then......I would have gotten up and planted a big kiss on Dale and hugged him tight. He is my Idol. I love this guy! Then I would have ran for my camcorder!
Being a wealthy guy in his own right, the land owner is just looking to make a quick buck!

Dale Jr. isn't married.
Lets not forget, Jr is still a kid. I'm sure he'll pay his penalty and the owner will get some cash out of it.
As for J. Gordon, what would be worse, him being Gay (which some J. Gordon haters accuse him of) or that he cheated on his wife (which is the insinuation from the filing)?
Wait.. I know, he cheated on his wife with a guy!
He's on the pole at Bristol this Sunday, first time in his carreer..pretty good for all the off track distractions.
