Well... should Freepers now protest outside the White House as vociferously as they did when Clinton occupied the place?
If not, why?
If the Robinsons and moderators are so willing, I'd like to see this thread go awhile, if only because I'm curious as to what reaction there would be from members of Free Republic who have already seen an oath of office violated by a president once before. I'm wagering that there'll be equal loathing (if not more intense) of the same disdain for the Constitution, despite the guy being a "Republican". Or I can pray so, anyway.

You better be praying awfully hard friend, from the "finger in the wind", it appears that most dismiss this as "politics as usual". The same people who would be locking and loading and digging out the cammies if Clintoon were to have tried this.
The very idea that this man would play with one of our fundamental rights is nauseating in the extreme. Its even harder to stomach seeing the koolaid brigade cheerleaders spout how "that's politics" and "how clever" Bush would be to sign this law.
This man has what, an 80% approval rating, and he's worried about getting support in defeating this evil bill? Please.
I hope the anonymoderators don't axe this thread as well. It should be interesting.

What disdain for the constitution?Well, the whole ban on advertising within 60 days (or is it 30?) of the election kinda craps on the 1st Amendment.

If you disagree with him, than protest.

I would. An honesty Freep.
To: Darth Sidious
I hope that we should. The banning of criticism of politicians is the worst thing that has ever been done to our constitution.

Just trying to get the thread going. The post left out the details. I have alredy writtne and called to voice my opinion. This will not stand in court for several reasons. Washington knows this.

You better be praying awfully hard friend, from the "finger in the wind", it appears that most dismiss this as "politics as usual".Strip away the "politics as usual", and is there anything of principle left - at all - for this man (or any man) to stand on?
This was the last straw with Bush, for me. I didn't vote for him. But I've given him the benefit of the doubt all the way... even on fetal-tissue research, which was a HUGE thing for me to yield to him on. I was behind him 100% in the aftermath of 9-11... though that support goes no further than where the Constitution allows for it.
Bush has shown - gradually so - that he cares not for the Constitution in that regard. He has now shown - blatantly so - that he has no regard for it, perhaps at all.
That's something no one should be let off the hook on, be they Democrat, Republican or dumb animal.

Maybe this is just semantics, but Bush hasn't signed the bill yet. Perhaps FReeping the House and Senate would be a worthy exercise?
Since the Executive branch is charged with executing the laws, and not legislating them, Bush serves only as a check (or balance, depending on your perspective) to the legislative branch. If anyone's to blame, its members of Congress.

Certainly Bush deserves to be Freeped when he signs this bill. But to compare signing this bill to xlinton's numerous crimes is a bit much. You do remember what the xlinton's did to the country, don't you?
Bush is signing this bill to take away McInsane's only issue. The demoncRATS are pushing McInsane to run on a 3rd party ticket in 2004 to open the door for a RAT to win. But without CFR, McInsane has no issue and will get nowhere.
Just because Bush has a reason to sign the bill doesn't make it right. Go ahead and freep, just keep things in perspective since Bush has delivered on so much so far. And when you freep, make damn sure to freep McInsane and Dasshole, who are the forces behind this travesty.

This was the last straw with Bush, for me. I didn't vote for him.Well then, shut the hell up.

How is publically voicing your opinion 'going spastic'? Are you happy with his decision?
To: Darth Sidious
They've already heard from me.
To: Darth Sidious
Yeah:
I thought that Bush & Co. aren't allowing demonstrations outside the White House, for "security reasons".
How convenient!

Do we now FReep the Bush White House? (CFR), Undeclared war,Homeland Security(SS Troops), Invasion of Philippines ...Amnesty programs for illegal aliens, Steel tariffs to woo the labor party ..... new federal employees to waste more tax dollars and woo the labor pool ... Take your pick, Sir Darth. The only difference between Bush and Clinton is their physical height, they're both confirmed Globalists Traitors .
