It probable would have been more fitting to describe Hitlery as the "Anti-Laura" just as Satan is called the "anti-Christ." Other than that, I can't quibble too much with the comparisons made in the article.

What did you think of it? . . . Top

One word describes Laura Bush. That word is C-L-A-S-S!

Another important difference. Laura is pure class. Hillary is criminal scum.

"Mrs. Bush apparently has a much more wholesome and solid marriage." says ArLyne Diamond, Management Consultant

I wish my company hired consultants this bright... < /sarcasm>

In terms of its first ladies, Mrs. Bush has let America know the Bush years will be nothing like the Clinton years.

Free at last. Free at last. Thank God Almighty we're free at last!!

Only 6 percent of those polled said Mrs. Bush had too much influence on the administration, compared with a 1993 Pew poll showing 40 percent thought Mrs. Clinton had too much influence.

Those numbers tell me that she's getting all the influence she needs at home. Hill got nothing real from Bill so she had to go outside the relationship to prove to herself that she could be influential. (feminist role)

Laura Bush, on the other hand, and her confident silence says this, is probably the President's closest counselor. (independent role.) This makes her (one of) the most powerful insider(s) in the nation.

**but how does one view a former librarian who has shied away from the public eye and hasn't had her own career since she married in 1977?**

Oh, but she *has* had a career...the most fulfilling type of career to be sure! She has been a helpmeet to her husband, a mother to her daughters, and a lady in all she has done.

Laura *chose* to be a homemaker..a respected and wonderful career choice, with amazing rewards. :o)

"Laura Bush gave speeches on education, but kept out of the limelight for the most part until September 11. Now she is out there more, but still she's in a helpmate role,"

Mrs. Bush is doing exactly what she should be doing. A helpmate role, as opposed to what? We elect a president, not co-presidents.

Mrs. Bush is just fantastic. She is mother to the nation, caring and loving. She is a model wife, a role model to other Americans as to what a perfect wife should be like. In no way do I feel that they have a "business arrangement" for a marriage as I felt and said in the past about the previous occupants. There is a strong bond there and it really shows. I'm glad too. Nothing like having real family values in the White House. May God bless them!

A better comparison would be the First LADY and the First BITCH! Hillary is in a class of self-important nasty personalities that we all have to put up with. Laura is a lovely intelligent woman. I don't think the term 'woman' can be applied to Hillary as there is little that is feminine about her. True feminists hate Hillary..

She is not even the most powerful woman in America, according to Ladies Home Journal, who awards that distinction to talk-show diva Oprah Winfrey.

What about Condi Rice? Or is this awards list just limited to democrats like every other puliblication in the nation?

I just find it so refreshing not to gag when the president and first lady hold hands--- and such relief to no longer have to witness the sight of a first couple walk hand-in-hand with their grown daughter across the White House lawn.

If I feel this good about and grateful for the Bush's "wholesome and solid...(and, may I add: loving) marriage" ---I can't help but imagine how wonderful this makes Hillary feel.

Satan = "Anti-Christ"

Hillary = "Anti-Laura"

Therefore,

Hillary = Satan

(Not quite perfect logical syllogism, but oh well--LOL!)

"is not as humorless and unimaginate as she leads people to believe"

Who ever said she was humorless and unimaginative? It was Hillary who always seemed humorless to me, although she was certainly imaginative when it came to lieing.
