Has anyone else noticed.......
Just to ask -- do you ever listen to him?
I hear him rail against spineless Republicans with great regularity!
"He never speaks ill of republicans, no matter how flawed or wrong they are."
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Uh....has Johny McManiac joined the Socialist party..? I've heard Rush on a fairly regular basis....fry Johny.
BWDIK..??
Being uppermiddle class here in Cape Girardeau is not considered "rich" by any stretch of your imagination.
Besides, which, Rush left here at eighteen years old in an old car in a snowstorm...without any money. His daddy was very pissed off at him for quiting college.
Stick it in your ear, bubba.
Correction! "STEELER NFL"!!! :D
Why do you bring up his financial status? And his marital status? What does this have to do with his work? Most Freepers reading your statement would no doubt remain passionate conservatives if tomorrow they became millionaires and got married, to boot.
If you think Rush or any host can remain politically "passionate" for three straight hours without a change of pace, humorous interludes, or occasionally touching on other timely subjects such as sports, you're mistaken.
That would be a recipe for burnout on the host's part, and boredom on the listeners' part.

Huh? How frequently do you listen to his program? Rush frequently speaks ill of Republicans if they are weak-spined or wrong. He seldom spares the Republicans-in-name-only (which he and others call RINOs) and frequently points out mistakes Republicans have made in their dealings with liberals of all parties. Rush is Republican, but he is a conservative first. If a Republican begins spouting liberal nonsense or does something illegal or unethical, Rush does not spare him or her. Tune in more often or read his articles on his website. THEN you may come back and say he's a party hack.
I get tired of hearing of Rush's "silver spoon" upbringing from ignorant persons.
Yes his family may have been rich in this small town, but you would never know it, really. You should see the dump of a house Rush grew up in and you would laugh. And you should see the home Millie lived in till her death. It is around the block from me and very modest, indeed.
They probably did have money, his father being a lawyer and an ambassador and all, but no one can say that Rush and David were priviledged children. Rush went to the same old and falling down HS as did everyone else in public school.
And did I mention that the barber shop where he shined shoes and talked politics is still here with the same owner? And the radio station KZIM where he started as a DJ at sixteen years old?
When you talk to people that knew Rush around here, they are only impressed with the fact that the Limbaugh's owned an airplane. Both Rush's parents were pilots...his father being in the China corridor and his mother transported planes during WWII.
Forgive the rant....but I am so tired of hearing of how Rush was handed life on a silver platter. He was not!
