Nope, somehow I don't think you're going to last long here. JimRob, click on the link, you'll see what I mean." Tattle-tale!
:)
You have misjudged me. I hope FReepers do read what I spent lots of time composing. Thanks for encouraging them to review my postings.

I am sometimes reluctant to comment in threads that interest me because of the presence of some of these grouches. I choose to avoid defending the validity of my statements based on the date I logged into FR.
I agree. I have also refrained from joining some discussions because of some who are already participating. The name calling, and flames take away from the enjoyment I get from this site, and do little to educate.
Anyway, that is my opinion.

He did say we can trash the demoRats and I suggest we start with Waxman. And don't forget Dash-hole, and all the other commies.

Seems to me that on this, the President risks eating his own and dividing our unity in public. Better to make noise here in January than to risk folly in November, don't you think? Well said Sabertooth. Airing our differences is healthy and let's get real, sometimes debates can turn heated. So What? That is part of the passion of politics. From what I see, there are WAY TOO MANY thin-skinned and overly-sensitive people on this forum that like to hit the "abuse" button WAY TOO MUCH. All this does, more often than not, is involve the moderators in petty arguments leaving them less time to combat the major infractions that happen from time to time on this board.

I've certainly participated in them, when they were of interest.Yes, I know what you mean, as I have too. It is too bad we don't have some chat rooms, where we can talk together about our pets LOL.

"Keep on trashing our conservative elected leaders during a election cycle." I believe you mean "Republican elected leaders".
Good point. Don't there exist Liberal Democrats and Conservative Democrats?
To: Mark17
Or talk about any other subject. I was going to post a question the other day about tracing the pings I get on my firewall. I get about 1500 a day, and I imagine they're slowing me down.
FReepers are an intelligent bunch, and quick to help people. Now I feel bad about posting to some threads...Ah can't hep muhsef!

President Bush will submit a budget soon and I can guarantee you that spending will increase (even excluding military increase) above and beyond inflation. I wonder if this would be true, for either party, going back before Reagan?
To: UberVernunft
The conservative word was used by me. Unfortunately the east and west coasts and other places have situations where some democrats are the conservative choice between two democrats. I have no problem supporting a blue dog who agrees in principle with most conservative ideals. These are exceptions to straight ticket voting. It hurts though.LOL!

Good point. Don't there exist Liberal Democrats and Conservative Democrats? Given that the democrats have gone almost 100% liberal I don't know if that distinction can be made today--I guess in a few places. I just believe the word "conservative" is tossed around too carelessly in describing many politicians that are not conservative if one bothers to analyze their position on issues. Much as the "moderate" label has frequently come to describe politicians that are well entrenched in the liberal camp.

Is there a way that you or John can make it so when you (or John) makes an informational post that applies to all of FR, you could ping an "All" and it would automatically hit every registered user of FR when they do a "Self Search" they will be flagged to that particular thread? Just a thought. Many might not see this thread and might like to.

Like that's ever going to be reality again. Call me a cynic, but I've seen little evidence of the government relinquishing any power once it's gotten hold of it. I am in agreement with you, however. nod of agreement from this cynic (realist)! :)
To: Howlin
In the vast majority of those cases, it is nothing but projection.

Conservative Democrats?
There are several hundred Democrats in Congress (House and Senate). Can you name any more conservative than, choosing a RINO at semi-random, oh, I don't know, Arlen "Magic Bullet, Scottish Law" Specter?
If you can, then you probably can count them on one hand.
