Call me stupid, but I don't find a readily accessible link to the poll at this link. I looked at the article about "Reconsidering Statue" and don't see it there. Where is it? TIA
Never mind. I found it down in the middle under title "FirePole". 92% even for original 3...:)

True.
The PC peanut heads have backed down and another memorial will be considered. But there is no guarantee that the replacement memorial will be that of the three firefighters. That would be extremely unfortunate. The PC clowns in charge of all this just might be determined to have a memorial which includes every race in the book, come hell or high water. They might even discard the notion of building a statue of the three firefighters just out of spite.
They can go build there all-inclusive monument to political correctness somewhere else.
Americans should demand that an accurate statue of the flag raising be created!

92.1% for going ahead with the REAL GUYS. It can take a while to load. It justs burns me up that they would rather have no people portrayed than have three white guys.

If they're going to do the flag-raising, they should respect historical reality, but I still think the best memorial to *all* the public servants who died that day would be two firefighters and two police officers -- of WHATEVER race or gender -- going up a flight of stairs.
To me, that's the perfect metaphor for the bravery shown that day.

92.1% for the original firefighters. Alright!!
