"This is your day" from Benny Hinn Ministries ^

Posted on 01/03/2002 3:27:12 PM PST by VaBthang4

On todays program Benny Hinn announced that he had a vision and the Lord explained to him that the Lord was going to topple the current government of Iran.

He said that the Lord would show favor to the people of Iran because of the assistance Persian Kings gave in rebuilding the temple in Jerusalem [2 Chronicles 36:23,24].

The feed is a video of the "this is your day" program.

I predict that if Benny Hinn doesn't stop lying and manipulating, he'll go to the bad.... Aw, I had better not say it.

Funny that this thread is up..on the radio tonight they had voice tapes of the false prophecies given by Hinn in the past..including the "rapture"in Sept 1999.I have seen him often in person (don't ask) and on tv..I always thought he was a showman first and "preacher" second..but I had no clue he was a prophet too!! ( I have probably just made more enemies on FR)

Well, I can tell you, that when I was ten, I had NEVER worried about getting the measles. I hadn't even ever thought about it. Guees what I got a REALLY bad case of, when I was 10 ? The answer is : THE MEASLES ! : - )

What all these " true believers " do, is to send others running away , in double time, from the CHRIST, and Christianity. The gullible , and everybody else, should read " ELMER GANTRY " ! None of this stuff is new. Its been around for millenia.

During the Middle Ages, the very same kind of CON-MEN , would travel around , from village to town, fron town to city, from city to rural space, selling " THE TEARS OF MARY " ( rain water, water from puddles, etc.), PIECES OF THE TRUE CROSS " ( shards and splinters from any old piece of wood handy ), " THE BONES OF SAINT ( fill in the blank ) " ( chicken bones from their lunch / any old bones from any meal ) , and more flim flam. Not much seems to have changed.

That there are people alive today, especially FREEPERS, who are this gullible, naive, and afraid, is shocking. Over and over and over again, the scriptures warn against FALSE PROFFETS . If people, who claim to believe in GOD's WORD, refuse to believe the PROVEN facts against false proffets, the they are refusing to believe in GOD's holy words . In their religious fervor, they are actually REJECTING GOD and HIS beloved SON ! Because of their blind faith in a man ( men / women ) , they have lost their faith in GOD.

Prophecy aside the people there hate the Mullahs and Persians are more rational than the Arabs they've had pro American demonstrations since the attack. I doubt the army will put down a general uprising against the fanatics if it were to occur( we should begin shipping arms to Iranian rebel groups now).

I'm glad that you responded to my last post. I noticed that you expanded your position,. Do you see any ministry now days that doesn't have its hand out for money....Those are false! We are getting off topic, But I'll stand my definition that a false teacher is one who lies or teaches false doctrine.

I took the time to read many of the verses you cited. But a Biblical argument must be in context and address the issue either directly or indirectly. For example Proverbs 23:23 the verse about buying truth, and not selling it is figurative language instructing us to value Truth, Wisdom, instruction, and Understanding. It doesnt address(directly or indirectly) the idea that selling books or tapes makes a minister a false teacher. If you disagree then explain how we buy the truth? (i.e. if the word "sell" is to be taked in a non-figuratively, then we must do the same with the "buy".)

I Tim 3:3 says a minister should not be a lover of money. No disagreement there. But does it mean that a pastor cannot ask for money? or sell a book or tape? Or does in mean that if a pastor is greedy it invalidate his teachings

Titus 1:7,11 1 Tim 6:5, 2 Pet 2:3. These verses must be placed in context. Titus 1:7-11, 1 Tim 6:3-5, 2 Pet 2:1-3, All of these passages talk about teachers who lie and teach falsely out of greed. These passges don't say all greed pastors are false teachers. It says they are false teachers because they lie and teach falsely. Greed is why they do it.

I wish you had responded to the Bible Verses I mentioned. Deut 13:1-3 says that God will test us by allowing "certain Prophets" to make predictions that come true. These "Prophets" call the people away from God to a false(idol)worship. God wants to know if we love Him enough to follow his Word, even in defiance of so-called prophets. If you love God(and I assume you do) you will not blindly follow someone because they made a prophecy that came true.(I'm not implying that you do.)

I mention a passage where Paul is grateful for bad pastors. I looked it up. It is Phil 1:15-19, Paul says he is glad for pastors who preach out of selfish ambition, because the gospel is being preached. This is important because it tells us sound teaching is good, regardless of the teacher's motivation.

I think that we could agree that there are greedy pastors, but asking for money does not automaticly make someone greedy. The Salvation Army asks for money. They even take collections in front of stores. Yet their ministers only earn 13,000 a year. I wouldn't call them greedy.

Since it's late this will be my last post on this topic.

"hinn is worse than tilton."

But, what is terribly disturbing about Tilton now is that he is buying time (and they are letting him and J.Jackson and A.Sharpton are not standing up screaming about it to protect the very least among us ... widows, elderly, sick, etc.) on BET (Black Entertainment Television). It airs around 4 or 5 a.m.

If Jackson and company really cared they would insist BET remove Tilton's programming.

Oh, but wait, aren't they all into the same sort of stuff? Telling folks what they want to hear and getting paid by those same folks to hear it.

The Book of Revelations was written by the last living Apostle, John, on the island of Patmos around 95 AD.

Correct on Patmos, perhaps a little earlier.

However, after his release, John lived out his days at Ephesus, where he wrote his Gospel.

I gave Benny Hinn and his wife a ride once, so this thread caught my eye. Long story.

Well, start typing! Nothing worse than a teaser being thrown out.
