"I stopped it, but I had to learn to play it on the guitar, memorize the lyrics and sing it with my kids in order to do so." lol - Love it!
I used to stand behind my kids when they were playing the Mario Brothers games on Nintendo, and played the annoying little tunes from the video games on my guitar. Paybacks...

Right up there with Ruby is
That "Achey breaky heart"

Since you brought it up by mentioning "Convoy," my favorite clip from that is about the hog truck. "Why don't you back off about five miles or so / Them hogs are gettin' INtense." Congressman Billybob

It's a small world af-ter all... Think that's bad? Try getting "Mele Kalikimaka" by Der Bingle out of your head.
I've had it stuck in my head for the last 3 days since seeing "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation".
To: fporretto
That doesn't explain why I've had "Mac The Knife" revolving in my head for nearly a month LOL. When ever I think of that song I think of attorneys.
Regarding your other point; according to recent news stories science will soon be able to develop a brain scan to determine whether or not one is telling the truth; wonder if remembering an old tune will prevent this?

This thread is the devil's work, m'dear. Now I have all those songs running through my head!
Here is my contribution: "Chock Full O'Nuts is that heavenly coffee, heavenly coffee...."
Also I am secretly satisfied that Enron crashed and burned so I will never hear that damn commercial: "Why Why Why Why." Whoever came up with that one needs to be bitch slapped.

How about all the cartoon theme songs like "Oh My Darling" from Huckleberry Hound, or Top Cat, Wally Gator--See Ya Later Wally Gator. Another one is Felix the Cat the wonderful wonderful cat, of course I can't remember all the words but usually the tune. Others- Popeye the Sailorman, Underdog, Roger Ramjet and His Eagles,of course the Flintstones and Jetsons. There are so many more themes like Batman, Mr Ed, Addams Family and Gilligan"s Island. I watched too much tv.

I've had "Blame Canada" in my head for the last two years. "South Park the Movie" - best musical in the last twenty years.

Oh, yea. How can you get any worse than this:
It's hard to love a man whose legs are bent and paralyzed
And the wants and the needs of a woman your age, Ruby, I realize
But it won't be long, I've heard them say, until I'm not around
Oh, Ruby, don't take your love to town
What poetry, what pathos, what a crock of $hit!!

I LOVE the Green Acres theme! :-)
As well as this one:
"The Addams Family" by Vic Mizzy (Vic Mizzy is the same guy who wrote the Green Acres theme!)
They're creepy and they're kooky,
Mysterious and spooky,
They're all together ooky,
The Addams Family.
Their house is a museum
Where people come to see 'em
They really are a scree'um
The Addams Family.
Neat
Sweet
Petite
So get a witches shawl on
A broomstick you can crawl on
We're gonna pay a call on
The Addams Family.

Barney's "I love you, you love me...we're a happy fa-mi-ly..." Okay...THAT's what you get for working with pediatrics!
The other is WAR...HUH! What is it good for?! Absolutely Nuthin! *chuckle* From one end of the spectrum to the other!
