What Should Be Done With the Traitor?

What should be done to the Marin County man who abandoned America to fight with our enemies? I say he should be tried for treason, nothing less.

Make him Hillary's sex slave.

There's a Constitutional prohibition on cruel and unusual punishment.

"There is no evidence he was intimately involved with al-Qaeda or was involved in the terrorist attacks "

Actually, there is. See http://www.msnbc.com/news/673497.asp?cp1=1.

Walker acknowledged a lot more than fighting for the Taliban: according to administration sources, he also admitted to being a member of Al Qaeda and training at its camps, where he participated in terrorist exercises—including learning to use explosives and poisons—and met with visiting Qaeda officials, including Osama bin Laden. Walker also admitted having been instructed in how to act in airports so as not to attract police attention. “He was no innocent bystander,” said one official. “This wasn’t like learning to be a soldier in Patton’s Army. He was training to commit terrorist acts.”

The statutory punishment for treason in England from 1283 to 1867, Drawn and Quartering was a multimedia form of execution. First the prisoner was drawn to the place of execution on a hurdle, a type of sledge. (Originally he was merely dragged behind a horse.) Then he was hanged. Cut down while still alive, he was disembowelled and his entrails burned before his eyes. (Some references, such as the Encyclopedia Britannica, say this step, and not dragging behind a horse, is what is meant by "drawn," but actual sentences of execution don't support this view.)

Finally the condemned was beheaded and his body cut into quarters, one arm or leg to a quarter. How exactly the quartering was to be accomplished was not always specified, but on at least some occasions horses were hitched to each of the victim's limbs and spurred in four directions. An assistant with a sword or cleaver was sometimes assigned to make a starter cut and ease the strain on the animals. The remains were often put on display as a warning to others.

Are you really sure the Constitution requires the US to declare war? Does that mean US citizens could have taken part in the attack on Pearl Harbor (an act of war) but could not be prosecuted as traitors because the US had not yet declared war? Clearly such participation would be aiding the enemy at a time of war.(P) Remember Al Queda had declared war on the US and commited acts of war against the US. Might want to check the Constitution again.

Jihads are SO exciting:

Just hear those bombshells burst!

Poor Johnny tried to find himself,

But SATAN found him first!

If Boxass and Feinswine actually act to help this offal, the fact should be hung around their necks like an albatross at every election they run in. Would that the Republicans had half the sack the Dims have for political mudfighting, alas.

not to rain on your lynch mob, but unless you re-write the constitution, there is no way he can be tried for treason;

I suppose you are technically correct. Treason may not be able to be proven constitutionally, but sedition certainly can. So let's try him for sedition and sentence him to life at hard labor.
