DC Chapter To Help Our FRiend, Linda Tripp -- Here's How You Can Help, Too -- Thread #2

The D.C. Chapter of Free Republic will forever admire the courageous stand taken by Linda Tripp to tell the truth during the dark days of the investigation leading up to the impeachment of President Clinton. This was done at great personal sacrifice.

It is with great sadness and concern that we learned recently that, while others have profited handsomely from their criminal acts during the Clinton era, Linda Tripp has been nearly bankrupted and is facing foreclosure on her home. She was fired from her government job by Bill Clinton on the last day of his term. Her attempts to find another position in her field at the George C. Marshall Center in Germany were sabotaged by a leak to the press.

Since then, according to press reports, Linda has not been able to find work commensurate with her experience. We believe that this is because she is considered radioactive as a result of her reputation for telling the truth and not going along with the business-as-usual practices of those who do work with the Federal Government.

According to press reports, actions leading to foreclosure on Linda's home in Columbia, Maryland, have commenced. She had been renting the home out while staying with friends but it has recently been without tenants.

Members of the D.C. Chapter are stepping forward to help Linda in her time of need. We want her to have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. If you would like to share the D.C. Chapter's efforts as we give a hand up to a FRiend, here's how you can do so:

Send a check or money order payable to Linda Tripp. Please send it c/o David K. Colapinto, Esq., Kohn, Kohn & Colapinto, P.C., 3233 P Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20007. Mr. Colapinto will see that whatever funds are received will go directly to Linda Tripp and not to a defense fund.

Again, are you hoping? If you're looking for a sexually repressed Freeper who will induldge your "chew me!" fetish, you shouldn't have a whole lot of trouble unless there's something about you that I don't know, and if there is, I don't want to know. Without benefit of first hand accounts, I'm relying on my memory.

Neither President Bush nor the woman in question would comment on the rumored affair. The Washington Post gave up trying to prove the affair, rather than conclude there was no 'there there'.

The rumor of an affair kicked up in 1992 after Bill Clinton was faced with credible allegations of adultery.

Linda Tripp's name was not attatched to the rumor until she became a controversial witness in the investigations into wrongdoing by President Clinton.

Bush Jr. could appoint Tripp to something, but it would be like giving the middle finger to the dems. As much as I would like that, the reality is that it would be bad politics and sufficiently divisive so that it would also be bad for the country. Furthermore, Tripp would probably have to go through another going over by the press and more late nite jokes about her looks or anything else the democrats could pile on. I'm not sure if she would want to go through round 2 of that treatment. Tripp should probably move to another state. Any private company in MD that hires her, will get multiple visits from the various state taxing and regulatory agencies and being held to the strictest letter of the law in all regards.

Did Linda Tripp beat you out of a job in the past?  Did she beat you out of a man?  You sound like you're jealous of her for something.  Oops,  are you a man yourself?  If so, have you ever done that "bi" thing?  Can we talk about your sex life like you seem to like talking about Bush Sr's? Who are your role models?  Is it safe to assume  that Linda Tripp isn't one of your heroes?  Have you ever heard of Trannie?   If you see him will you tell him I'm still looking for him to kick his a$$?

Linda has already said she doesn't expect President Bush to offer her a job in his administration.

She has not been living in Maryland for many months.

Noone will hire her.

The traitorous 'Rats should be given the finger every day--figuratively and literally.

Hiring a credible prominent whistleblower in his administration would send a positive signal that government corruption and cover-ups will not be tolerated in his administration, but President Bush has sent the opposite signal: business as usual in Washington.
