My mistake; reading Barbara Olsen's "Final Days'
rant

Posted on 12/05/2001 8:08:26 AM PST by robjna

Just when I was getting on with my life and not stuck with the constant thought of praying for the felonious couple to be indicted or exposed, I buy "Final Days". I did it more out of respect for Mrs. Olsen and her family in hopes that by buying it, I am indirectly helping out her estate. Within the first few pages, the rage inside me started all over again. From reading about the criminal behavior to the sheer arrogance of nailing the taxpayers to support their diluted sense of entitlement. How can an American media continue to not expose these two and how can an American government not send them to jail is just beyond reasonable thought. My suggestion to those of you who have just reached a level blood pressure, is to buy the book for Mrs. Olsen benefit, but do not read it and donate it to your public library to be read by all future generations.

I read the book this past weekend and lent it to my sister-in-law who is having an epiphany about the Clintons.

"How can an American media continue to not expose these two"

Read "Bias" by Bernard Goldberg and you'll see how.

Our family has a ritual of exchanging Christmas lists so the person gets what (s)he wants. I have a quite liberal sister-in-law who is going to have to buy the book for me. She'll probably retch when she reads the subtitle.

Oh, please share details. I know many of us have been praying to witness just such an ephiphany among our own liberal friends and relatives.

Not me. I'll get a fresh copy for all I want to read it. Let's not dilute the sales figures by sharing.

Besides, it would take a shotgun blast to the face to get me to part with Hell to Pay. BKO, herself, wrote me the most wonderful autograph. She had beautiful handwriting.

Yes, I understand how you feel. For the same reasons you put down the Olson book, I will not watch CNN or ABC News, and I will never watch a Clinton speech. Actually, I don't need the anger and rage - it's for my health. I wouldn't want to give my enemies the satisfaction of knowing their reprobate despicable antics have affected my health.

I bought Final Days as soon as it was published. Great read.

Bought another copy as a gift for a friend and will buy a third for myself, as I wish to keep one copy 'pristine' and use the other for reference - make notes in margins, underline passages etc.

RIP Barbara.

Neighbor, there is something to be said for "moving on," but there is also a case for

righteous anger and indignation

at what this country was subjected to for eight years. I usually let "my links do the talking for me," like these:

-clintonism in one easy lesson--

and...

The Holiday *Best* of Bill Clinton & his Friends!

...but do you know why- besides simple justice- I want the whole crew held to account?

Because if America does not recognize & punish these clowns, and see her own malfeasance in their reign- we are likely to repeat it some time in the future. We won't survive another like clinton. Gar-ran-dam-tee it!

You're a trusting soul, Reg. I learned years ago not to "loan" books, because even honest people who sincerely intend to return them, often don't.

Rather than be annoyed with a friend, I've stopped loaning books, buying several copies when appropriate, just giving the books away, making it known that no return is expected. Costs a few dollars, saves a few friendships. And sometimes makes the friendship a little stronger, and triggers a reciprocal gift.

I, too, ordered the book and read it when published. I had a hard time reading more than a few pages at a time - it made me sick all over again knowing what that slimeball did!
