New York Senator Hillary Clinton has reportedly refused to attend a single funeral or memorial service for any of the victims of the World Trade Center disaster unless it was a major media event.
"We sent both Sen. Clinton and Sen. Chuck Schumer letters asking them which services they attended and which families they visited," Fox News Channel's Bill O'Reilly reported late Tuesday.
Sen. Clinton's office ignored FNC's letter and repeated phone calls, "most likely," said O'Reilly, "because the only events we know she attended were three highly publicized memorial services."
In marked contrast to Clinton's stonewalling, Sen. Schumer's office said they had attended 10 services and promised to provide a list of each one. New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Gov. George Pataki have attended hundreds of funerals for WTC victims.
Anthony Gardener, who lost his brother Harvey in the World Trade Center and has become an advocate for the victims of the disaster, told FNC that he contacted Clinton's New York office twice but got no response.
"I invited her to come and be on our board of advisers to help us with the nonprofit support group that we created, WTC United Family Group," Gardener told O'Reilly. "I never had any feedback from her office, not even an assistant to an assistant or anyone."
Gardener said that he knew getting Mrs. Clinton to help would be "a far-fetched thing. [But] I just thought she might be eager to help."
Associated Press reporter Beth Harpaz, author of the Hillary 2000 campaign chronicle "The Girls on the Van," said that Mrs. Clinton snubbed WTC victims because they didn't vote for her.
"Her core supporters and the main victim groups of 9/11 are pretty much two distinct groups," Harpaz told O'Reilly. "You know, we have a lot of male-dominated professions here, firefighters, cops, Wall Street, a lot of suburbanites, a lot of political conservatives."
Harpaz also suggested that Mrs. Clinton couldn't attend many funerals because "she's been busy in Washington" and she also feared being booed again, as she was at an Oct. 20 concert for WTC victims.
Visibly angered, the Fox host shot back:
"If I were the senator of New York, I would have tried to attend as many of those funerals and memorial services as I could. And if they booed me, they booed me. I'd get down on my knees and say a prayer for that dead person and then I would go and leave."
Three high-profile events Mrs. Clinton attended were a memorial service at Yankee Stadium a week after the attacks, a similar event at Ground Zero in early October, and the funeral for New York City Fire Department Chaplain Father Mychal Judge, where she delivered the eulogy. All three services were televised.

The last time she flapped her lips at a press conference, she called for strict, government control on food production.

New York is and will be a liberal State. The Dems have a 3-2 advanyage state wide. Among many Dems, Jewish, Black there is a party and ideological loyalty that is all but unshakeable, see the Mayor's race where Blacks voted in overwhelming numbers for Green even though he ran a seemingly racist campaign. In addition Clinton did her homework. With the money and notoriety that goes with being first lady she travelled the state and made herdelf appear to be concerned about the smallest statye issue. Finally Rick Lazio ran possibly the worst serious campaign for statewide office in N.Y. that I have ever seen. His McAiniac adviser, Michael Murphy, showed less knowledge of NY than most people have of Tierra del Fuego.
Will NYers get it in the future? See if they vote for or against Cuom the Younger next year and you'll have your answer.

From what we know about Hillary! , I'd say that is an accurate statement. It's a shame that so many people not on FreeRepublic don't know the truth about her. She knows that most of Newyorkers get their news from abcnbccbstimenytimesetc...
She's screwed either way. Video of people screaming at her during a funeral would be priceless. So she calculates which is the less of two evils and chose to stay away. It's kinda nice that she can't win. hahahahhahahaha

This pig needs about five years out of the spotlight, living in a commune, all food rationed, all jobs equally shared with a LOT of toilet cleaning thrown in, she needs to know what it is like to own nothing and be powerless. She should be given the opportunity to work for the state, to have NO hobnobbing with celebrities, NO fancy dresses, etc. She needs to eat food from cans, drive the communal vehicle, do what SHE is told from dawn to dusk, and learn, from this, humilation, the futility of working hard when her neighbor does not, going to a doctor chosen FOR HER even if she does not have to pay, doing the job ASSIGNED to her even if it is not one she likes, the killing of inspiration that occurs when hard work is not rewarded with money and ownerhip of desired material items, to know what it is like to be told to 'shut up', and, maybe, now and then, a good spanking for being outspoken.
Hillary needs to LIVE the life she would shove on others. Right down there in the masses, not from the top, where all the amenities exist. (Like the top commy brass always enjoy.)
I'd love to see this sorry, stupid woman in a bread line. My guess, she would shove the elderly and young out of her way and be at the front of the line by store opening. Her selfishness and drive are what feed her, her heartlessness is what allows her to trample on others, and her penchant for lying as well as ducking real questions, is what sustains her. What a sorry, sorry woman.

Well, there you go. That explains why she's not there. It's nonprofit. No monetary profit, no front page profit, no free lunch. No wonder she's not there. Give her some money, give her some sound bites or front page pictures with mourning children, and she'll be there in a heart beat.
