Prophecy Scholars, What End Times Signs are Playing Out Now?
Enquiring Mind (no pun intended)

I found myself in a lengthy discussion the other day about the possibility that we are in or near the Biblical end times, and I'd love to hear the thoughts of some of you who have studied this issue.
What end times signs do you think have played out or are playing out now or will play out in the very near future?
Respectful request: this thread is intended to be a discussion between those who do believe in the Bible and its end times prophecies. While anyone is of course free to post, I sure would appreciate it if those of you who don't believe in God would not clutter up the thread with accusations of superstition and such. Thanks...

Thanks for setting me straight. I don't know exactly what a libertarian is, although, judging from a lot of freeper responses, it must be horrible. I've never labeled myself, other than being a human being. Those are all very good things you said, but we are different people. Myself, I don't believe that God requires anything of me. The commandments are all fine if you believe that the bible is the true word of God, I don't, I believe it is a book written by many different human beings, over a period of time. Other than because you read it in the bible, why must the created worship the creator? I have never, and never will call what I am doing a religion, it's just living. Since there is only one God (and He's not mine), whether you like it or not, we both believe in Him.

What are you talking about? I referenced Mathew wherein The Messiah referenced Daniel in the middle of his description of the End Times. You should read The Book.

, horrific. I checked out your home page and I find it very very dificult to understand how a man of your experience and service to our country can be so immature and offensive. I also do not belive you are saved. That is the very definition of 'unchristian'.
That is why I use the term 'Talibornagain'.

Earthquakes on the rise?? This page represents a summary of 6.0 earthquakes and above. The numbers of major quakes seems to be increasing and also appears to be cyclical. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://pages.prodigy.net/tempus/tempus6.htm --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please explain, how, if there truly is one God, can my God and your God be different?

So using horrific and slanderous names against Christians is not as bad as simply opining based on facts. First of all it is impossible to be a Christian UNLESS one is born again. That's The Messiah's definition not mine. I have an opinion that you are not saved because you do not fit the definitiion (at least you presently act like you do not). I am not slandering you. I'm challenging you. YOU on the other hand ARE slandering millions of Christians. Let God be the judge.

"The Good News is that once we have accepted the love of God as manifested in Christ, we are at that moment ready for death and for the Second Advent and for heaven. If the penitent thief, who had known little of sanctification, could yet be sure that heaven was his, should not every believer have the same joyous...

Simple semantics. Allah is NOT another name for Jehova. Allah is a lesser god who loves to murder. The Babylonians and others of OT times had their false gods and The God hated them and the people who worshipped them. One group who practiced child sacrifice was ordered wiped out by The God of the Jews.
Polytheism ruled the earth untill Abram (not yet renamed Abraham) hit upon the revolutionary idea of 'One God'. He petitioned this God and This God made Himself known as much as was possible to Abram. Thus began the unfolding of The One God's will for mankind.
You conveniently discount all this because it makes things easieir for you. You owe nothing because you deny the existence of a personal God who might make demands upon you. It's a game many play and you will not gain eternal life (whatever that is) if you stick to it.

I realize that this is a highly unorthodox way of looking at this matter, and not a strictly religious one. But I wanted to share it anyway, in case it might be of interest to anyone. Your viewpoint is far more "orthodox" than most of the end-time rapture nonsense...

Please explain, how, if there truly is one God, can my God and your God be different? God never said that there are not other gods. In fact, he told us to "have no other gods before Me."
A god is basically anything that we willfully promote as more important than the Everlasting Almighty Everlasting Father Mighty Wonderful Counselor God.

Allah is NOT another name for Jehova. Arab Christians disagree with you.

How did Allah get involved? I discount all of what you said because I consider it to be conjecture. Other than because the bible said it, how do you know what Abram/Abraham did or said? I don't understand why God would put demands on people, how do you know what God wants? I am a human He is God, I don't think I'm supposed to understand what a God thinks. I also have no idea what happens after death. Another question, how many Creators do you think there are?

Would it be better if I said The One Who Created All?

You should read The Book Which do you prefer? KJT, Septuagint, Greek NT, Messianic Jewish translation, Syriac, Dead Sea Scrolls, Gnostic, or something else?

Even if you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.
To: stuartcr
It seems a bit presumptious that you would know what God wants or demands. He has told us quite clearly what He wants and demands of us, through the Holy Bible. This notion of "God is whatever you think he is" is largely what got our civilization to the deteriorated state it's now in. It's convenient, easy, and lazy, but it's not reality.
