once again, things are simple ONLY to the SIMPLE.
as i have said before, you really should read something besides propaganda.
2. Ben "the BEAST" Butler selling slaves for the good of the damnyankee high command & himself illustrates nothing except that he & and all the others of the yankee high command were interested in nothing but $$$$$$$ & POWER.
the WBTS was, once again, about the arrogant, hatefilled damnyankees lust to CONTROL/DOMINATE the south politically & economically, while continuing to do whatever was in THEIR personal interest. every other excuse was just eyewash to fool the credulous & stupid.
Didn't go for him? They made him governer for umpteen years.
Nor does this piece of human refuse even live in the South.
Thanks a lot. Raise 'em wrong and send them up here.
The ultimate revisionism is to say that slavery had nothing to do with secession when South Carolina's Declaration of Secession says slavery was the driving force.
...if things were as simple as you suggest, there would have been no war. the damnedyankees cared NOTHING about the slaves- NOTHING!
Lincoln and the Radical Republicans cared about slavery, the rest wanted to preserve the union.
lincoln himself said that indians & blacks were NOT HUMAN. his opinion was shared by at least 99% of northern whites.
But he did issue the EP. Truths are stubborn things aren't they?
once again, things are simple ONLY to the SIMPLE.
The South seceded for slavery, the North fought to preserve the union. I've never said any different.
as i have said before, you really should read something besides propaganda.
I have. I've read South Carolina's Declaration of Secession. The South's own words and they say slavery was the reason.
And 100% of the southern ones?
I know it's pointless but I don't suppose you can provide a source for that Lincoln quote?
The number went from 10 to 12. LOL
2. Ben "the BEAST" Butler selling slaves for the good of the damnyankee high command & himself illustrates nothing except that he & and all the others of the yankee high command were interested in nothing but $$$$$$$ & POWER.
The North was significantly reducing their percentage of the population that were slaves since 1800. Lincoln and the Radical Republicans cared about slavery, that's all it took.
the WBTS was, once again, about the arrogant, hatefilled damnyankees lust to CONTROL/DOMINATE the south politically & economically, while continuing to do whatever was in THEIR personal interest.
The Civil War was about preservation of the union, the abolition of slavery being a fringe benefit.
every other excuse was just eyewash to fool the credulous & stupid.
So you've never read South Carolina's Declarationn of Secession? If you would read it, you would read the South's own words that say they seceded mainly to preserve slavery. Truths are stubborn things that just won't go away, will they?
Now you know that you're going to have to pay him $60 for that source, don't you? :^)
LOL He, like most of the others, can't handle the truth. They want to believe this fantasy that the South was some kind of utopia that got ruined by the North. They put out this image that the slaveowners and their slaves all sat around on the porches after the day's business to have a good time and live in harmony and happiness, the slaves being perfectly happy to make their owners rich, the slaveowners being fully appreciative of their slaves work and treating them with the utmost respect because of it. Yeah right.
he openly said that HE cared nothing for the plight of slaves; neither did the so-called radical republicans, to which he belonged.
FUNNY THING though, he freed not a single slave in the NORTH. wonder why not, if you are correct about lincoln?
he and klintoon are brothers in the spirit, separated by >100 years.
sorry, thast old chestnut of the liberal revisionists is BUNKEM.
the southland or the north were NEVER utopias. NONETHELESS, the status of free blacks, latinos, jews, asians and (MY people) the american indian was un-argueably better in the CSA!
If Lincoln didn't care about slavery, why did South Carolina's Declaration of Secession say he was hostile to it? Were they lying?
he openly said that HE cared nothing for the plight of slaves; neither did the so-called radical republicans, to which he belonged.
If that were true why did South Carolina's Declaration of Secession say he did? Were they lying?
FUNNY THING though, he freed not a single slave in the NORTH. wonder why not, if you are correct about lincoln?
Because the Northern states were smart enough not to rebel for dumb causes like the Southern states were.
he and klintoon are brothers in the spirit, separated by >100 years.
Nah, the Southerners were the Democrats.
Most Southern biased historians.
...think of the sucession documents from EVERY state: UNREAD,IRREVELANT & NOT OF IMPORT to the citizens of the 13 states. the war was about FREEDOM from the NORTH.
If they were lying about something as important as rebellion, then they deserved to lose and live in squalor for 100+ years. Would you say the Declaration of Independence in unimportant also?
sorry, thast old chestnut of the liberal revisionists is BUNKEM.
Saying that slavery wasn't a reason for secession is the ultimate revisionism since South Ccrolina's Declaration of Secession plainly say it was the main reason.
I don't read one man's opinion for long periods of time. That's the way people get misled.
I can read though, and I can see that South Carolina's Declaration of Secession says Lincoln was hostile to slavery and that was the main reason for secession.
the southland or the north were NEVER utopias. NONETHELESS, the status of free blacks, latinos, jews, asians and (MY people) the american indian was un-argueably better in the CSA!
Why did they risk death to escape to the North then?
Speaking of Stand Watie, why don't you give him the dignity of capitalizing his name. I'm sure that when many people see your handle, they have no way of knowing he was an Indian leader. If you capitalized it, that would give a better representation, wouldn't it?
among our people, such usage of the name of one of the tribe's HERO-MARTYRS is accepted, as a rememberence of/memorial to the dead.
for dixie,sw
you really should READ my posts more carefully, as it is difficult to respond intelligently to BUNKEM!
