I love this woman! She is the most thoughtful journalist alive. However, the more I read about George W. Bush, even from her, the more I feel like an outsider. The first time I became aware of him, in June of 1999, I thought: This is a great man and he would make a great president. Even Peggy was not convinced - I, on the other hand, had no doubts whatsoever. Either I am crazy or I have wonderful insight...

No man personally responsible for the death of a single human being was, is, or ever shall be, a great man.

This is the most eloquent of women.I want to be her when I grow up. That I agree with her helps too.

Only one problem with this. At 6', 190 pounds, the President can hardly be described as "bantamy," unless "small, aggressive and spirited" becomes just "aggressive and spirited." :o)
That he is!! (and cute too!!)

"Yesterday we tasted steak and listened to music and did all of this to increase the understanding between peoples," said Mr. Putin. He especially liked the barbecue: "When I asked the president he said, 'Indeed this cannot be done except for in Texas.' " World peace through BBQ... gotta luv it! It's amazing what some slow-smoked brisket can do, huh?

Mr. Clinton, whose eight years in the presidency could be compressed like an accordion into one inch of meaning...It is high .... it is far ... it is GONE! Home run!

Thanx for the ping. Another great one, by dear Peggy. She has such a great command of the language, and always comes up with some great lines, like.....inhabitant of an eloquence-free zone
