ONE YEAR LATER, MEDIA STILL COUNTING FLORIDA VOTES
MAJORITY (79%) BELIEVE WE WILL NEVER GET A COMPLETELY ACCURATE COUNT OF ALL THE VOTES IN FLORIDA
New York [Sun Nov 11 2001 15:55:26 ET] -- With the imminent release of the latest recount of Florida votes, a 79% majority of Americans surveyed for a TIME/CNN Poll say they do not think we will ever get a completely accurate count of all the votes in Florida. (Only 15% said yes we would; 6% were not sure.)
A recount conducted by the National Opinion Research Center & Consortium of Media Companies is expected to break this week, according to CBS MarketWatch.com. The consortium includes AP, The New York Times, Dow Jones, The Washington Post, Tribune Company, AOL Time Warner and others.
The NOPRC started work in February to tally uncounted votes in the disputed election one year ago (in November 2000) that eventually led to George W. Bush's victory in Florida and ultimately to his presidency, notes CBS MarketWatch.

The TIME/CNN survey was conducted by Harris Interactive by telephone among 1,037 adults Nov. 7-8. The margin of error for the total sample is 3%.

Some of us learn to count when we are 4-years old; then we go on to better things.
With all the time they had to recount and revote, I wouldn't be surprised if Clinton won a 3rd term.

Bears have called for a re-count!!!! Seems that field goal by the home team on Veterans day at Soldier Field should count five points each. Game is 20-20 tie. Sorry "Cheese-Head".

When did the media start choosing the country's president anyway? I must have been absent from civics class that day. TLB, I think you've been spending too much time at CG. Its frying your brain. Oh...that was sarcasm huh? Hehehe. They really don't like you over there do they?

LOL Actually, if the recount shows that Gore was supposed to have won, the purpose of this would be to use it in their campaigns until you know where freezes over! The President's popularity must be grating on the DemoRats, and if they can plant this "he stole the election" lie back into the publics minds, all the better for them in their evil little plans.
You know the media will just go wild with this, already they have interrupted the war coverage to have Jeff Toobin on with his disgusting book about how Gore really won, and his statements that this decision by the USSC will have repercussions throughout history on this nation or some such drivel.

ROFL! Please say it's not possible!! That would be a nightmare too unbearable to even ponder.

If it weren't for all those people who voted...in spite of the fact they've been dead for fourteen years...Dubya would have won in a landslide. Seriously though...I think the thing that griped the demos was that Daley miscalculated the number of votes he needed to "find"...apparently they thought the fix was in and they were truly shocked when the numbers were announced. No wonder they feel they wuz robbed!
To: sweetliberty
One year to count (change, manipulate, disqualify, repunch, etc.) those ballots. I would find hard to believe any outcome that was announced.
Here is one prediction. Democrats will go bananas, whatever the announcement.
To: JessicaDragonet
That is why the media is now counting "over votes." It gives the counters a chance to poke a few chads and change Nader and Buchanan votes into Gore votes.
To: JessicaDragonet
Just proves that the copy (Daley Jr.) is never as good as the original (Daley Sr.). At least the 1960 thugs had the relative decency to steal the election when everyones back was turned. This group tried to steal it right in front of the whole country!!!!!!

Bob Dole said during the recount fiasco "they just want to keep counting until they win." I guess this is it because they are really talking this up. I heard someone on the radio say she was told that "this is the biggest story of the year." This is just the ultimate Anti-American act by the leftist media. They think nothing of potentially undermining the war effort with this worthless garbage. I would love to see some backlash against the media as a result of this senseless act.

I know we've been ASTOUNDED at the American learning curve over the last 8 years, but I really, really do believe that these people are toast.
There are only a FEW people, IMHO, dumb enough to fall for their lies any more.
To: JessicaDragonet
Also, did you notice that the states that reported late were the ones that went for Gore? Nah, just coincedence.

Never underestimate the stupidity of a substantial portion of the public. The democRATs don't. In fact, they count on it.

Legitimately? I think not.
