Never underestimate the stupidity of a substantial portion of the public. The democRATs don't. In fact, they count on it.

Those people really believe their boy won, and they are willing to discount 224 years of American history and election practices to get the result they want. When I was growing up, whining, obnoxious children were spanked soundly and removed from polite company.
