That is why the media is now counting "over votes." It gives the counters a chance to poke a few chads and change Nader and Buchanan votes into Gore votes.

During the recount, a caller to G. Gordon Liddy said she gave a sample butterfly ballot to her 82 yr old father. He wanted to vote for Bush and she told him he voted for Buchanan. Why? He followed the line under Bush's separation block and it led to Buchanan's dot. So, not all the Buchanan votes would have been for Gore.
