Program November 13, 2001 - Austin, Texas 3:45 - 5:40 pm - South Steps of the Texas Capitol Covington Middle School Band Presentation of the Colors by UT ROTC Color Guard UT Concert Chorale and Austin Children's Choir Welcome and Thanks to Sponsors by Bob Cole and KVET Introductory Remarks Austin Children's Choir Remarks by Marty Fangman of Keller, Texas, whose brother died in the September 11th Attack on the World Trade Center Remarks by Toni Lawrence of Houston, sister of the late Barbara Olson Performance by Dan Seals Remarks by State Representative Rick Green on Advancing Freedom on Campus and the Collegiate Network Performance by Gary P. Nunn Austin Civic Wind Ensemble and UT Concert Chorale Capitol City Highlanders Pipe Band and Twenty-One Gun Salute 5:40 pm - Intermission Continuation of Festivities and March to Waterloo Park (two blocks, between Trinity & Red River and 12th & 15th Streets) 6:00 - 9:30 pm - Waterloo Park Patriotic Jamboree with Food and Refreshments, Featuring Music by: Jacqui Cross James Hyland Band Reckless Kelly Gary P. Nunn and the Bunkhouse Band Cory Morrow Band Laser Light Spectacular This event is sponsored by Collegiate Network and The Austin Review in cooperation with KVET radio, Brown Distributing, the East 6th Street Community Association, ArchTelecom, SuperCuts, UT Student Government, News 8 and other national, statewide, and local organizations committed to bringing people together to rally behind America.
