Re: #10

When are they (the TV pundits going to stop saying "Governor Ridge" and start saying "Secretary Ridge"?

Wow! Today, Dubya wore three different ties! I think he's sending secret messages to our troops overseas!

No, those secret messages are for the ladies of the Dose. Quick, lawgirl, give us the translation.

BTW, what happened to our Inauguration Day Anniversary party plans?

Thanks for the flag, RWP.

...the significance and power of President Bush's Inaugural Address...

Yes, "the angel in the whirlwind"...so prophetic. Thank God we have this wonderful man to lead us!

You'll like these numbers:

George W. Bush..... 8029 votes

Bill Clinton....... 4554 votes (VOMIT!)

Not sure what's going on with the #3 slot; this young man is not a politician. Oh, yeah, these are people who read People magazine.

Prince William...... 2110 votes

I think the angel in the whirlwind was from Lincoln.

I don't think "Secretary Ridge" is correct. He is the Director of Homeland Security, but that is not a cabinet position, technically, anyway.

I suppose they could call him "Director Ridge", but I personally prefer "Governor Ridge" to that.

Yes, emotions catch me by surprise sometimes, too

I know exactly what you mean. When someone posted the e-mail from a naval ensign recently about the German ship coming along side one of our ships, flying Old Glory and giving signs of solidarity, I printed that posting and later read it to my husband. Tears came to me then, and I'm tearing up now just remembering that message again.

Let's roll! So glad that he used that term and he alone could use it with the correct spirit. Can you imagine Clinton saying it? It just wouldn't work.

Yeah, and that big time clymer Peter bin Jennings remarked after the speech that the President had told us, "Let us roll." My husband and I shouted simultaneously, "It's let's roll," idiot!"

Re: the last photo in Reply #2. I thought those were flowers in the lower right and then realized they were people's hands clapping. What a great image.

By the way, there are already buttons on the Web for Bush's re-election in 2004:

HERE.

Scroll down a bit when you get there.

She's lost weight, has she?

Someone at the Press Club asked how the President was letting off steam and getting rid of tension. She mentioned that he runs every day and works out. Then she said "I'm working out, too, can y'all tell?" Then she held up her arm as though showing off her muscle. She was so cute! But the funniest thing was when someone asked about her possibly writing a book. She said "If I can get one of those $8 million deals"! The crowd just howled laughing, then she stepped back up to the podium with a twinkle in her eye and said "Just kidding!" She knows how to ZING in such a cute way!!

Thanks rintense. These are all great pics, as usual.

If not for Ridge's views on abortion, he'd have been the choice for VP.

Yes, and I pray that W doesn't get any bright ideas and put Ridge on the ticket in 04 because if he does, W won't get my vote. I won't vote against him, I just won't vote at all.
