Cincinatus and I were there. It was a beautiful fall day filled with patriotism and wonderful homemade signs.

BTTT......(I wasn't there, but I watched the whole event on C-Span & taped it, and soon after became a FReeper!)

It made me feel sooooo proud to know there were folks like you all!

I was there. The Premier Lobby was the most amazing place to be. Meeting Drudge and Lucianne was neat...Smartaleck showed up in all my pictures with his hat.

Here is my favorite picture from the event and I still have my signs and orange and black ribbons.

Many CHADS have passed under the bridge since then, My Freeper Friends.

I took my two kids who were 11 and 14 and a good pubbie friend. it was wonderful, missed the saturday night, had to head back to florida. met trixie and son, gary aldrich-- will never forget the wistful look in his eye when he wondered if american people would ever catch on. badjoe bribed the hotel so that we could park. remember standing out and cheering as sam adams(think that is his name) made it with convoy from NE. all the freepers were great. it was wonderful. and i am so proud of my daughter, a very smart conservative 17 YO now, who doesn't hesitate to stand up in class to say that the rebel flag is not about racism and that the big bang theory tells the same scenario as the bible. And my 14 year old son who stood up in class spontaneously when students were whining about killing innocents in afghan, to say "they didn't care when they killed all those people in new york". college will have a hard time trying to liberalize my kids.

I was there with my daughter. I wish I could remember the signs we were carrying. There were many more of us than peace marchers who showed up in DC recently.

Had the privilege of shaking hands with JimRob. Had to leave early because my daughter wasn't feeling to well. I felt really proud to be an American that day, too bad scumbag clinton has no pride or he would have resigned.

I was torn about participating at all, because my only prior experience with demonstrations was being on the receiving end as a VN vet. Nevertheless, my 10 year old son and I drove up from Richmond on Saturday morning. The day before, I bought a magnetic sheet, about 4"x30" and wrote "http:\FreeRepublic.com" (at that time, I was not very conversant with the the proper URL format) on it with magic marker and affixed it to the rear of car.
TCRider kindly offered to pick us up on their way north, but I declined, because the attention span of a 10 year old is very unpredictable.

Anyway, we went, and we met my oldest sister there and had a great time. My son, big and strong for his age, was chosen to push a disabled veteran in the parade. What an experience and honor for my son. Before and after the parade, we met many FReepers, including Jim Robinson. What a great guy!

I took a lot of video footage, which is around here somewhere. Someday I will transfer it to VHS format from 8MM, so we can relive the moment.

It was a great day for my son, my sister, and me, and one that we will never forget.

FReegards,

PS: TC-I don't know if you remember this, but I haven't. Thanks again for your offer.

Watching the Launch of FR was better than being at Cape Canaveral.

I brought a Tennessee flag and was amazed when Tennesseeans came to the flag. It was an unintended rally point.

The MFJ was a watershed event. It illustrated clearly the raw power of the internet to allow strangers organize and produce a major gathering in an amazingly short time.

At the gathering in the hotel lobby I met the finest group of people I could imagine.

I still have a collection of Post it notes left by Halloween Night Freepers on the Ft Marcy Park cannons. I found them the next morning on a guided tour of the Vince Foster site.

Hi Hank...

My wife and I were there. We were so proud to make what little bit of a show we could in support of our country's ideals. That was our first demonstration of any kind and one that we always said we would do if the opportunity presented itself. We have participated in several demonstrations since, particularly at "Chaney's House" last fall. Our adult children attended those also.

My wife and I still consider that day one of historic significance. It was the day that the American people along with the internet made the national news media obsolete! I had the honor of carrying the Louisiana state flag and was the closest "flag" to the podium. One of my brothers down in Louisiana was watching C-Span and caught a glimpse of someone who looked just like me waving the Louisiana state flag. He called my house and asked to speak to me only to have my son inform him that we had flown to D.C. for an impeachment rally! We still chuckle over that one.

We didn't know anyone there but knew everyone there. None of us knew who we were meeting and talking to until we exchanged our "freeper" names. It was almost like a family reunion of blind people. I even brought a present for Connie Hair that I knew she'd appreciate. An "L.S.U." hat with the letters L.S.U. blinking on and off. I even provided the battery! :-)

It was certainly one of the most beautiful events of our lives and it was a great honor to have met so many of our dear freeper friends.

Your Freeper-in-law,
Uncle Sham

I watched it on CSPAN. It is what inspired me to register instead of merely lurk.
Today's my 3rd anniversary as well.
