The horrific attack on our WTC might have been foiled if our Intelligence Agencies had had the resources to gather intelligence. It is because of Bill Clinton and his Leftist policies that they didn't. It is important that this fact be documented for the historical record.
I have put together a section on my "American Veterans" site in which I have been gathering articles and information pertaining to Clinton's role in handcuffing our intelligence and demoralizing our military.
If anyone knows of further articles or information that could be added to this site, please contact me. I am particularly interested in writings and speeches by Senator James Inhofe. Keep in mind that this is not an all things Clinton site, but a site dedicated to Clinton's failure to protect America.

Hey, Betty Jo, know anything about the guys and organization I mention in #39?

Reagan helped put the Taliban in place An amazing achievement, considering that Reagan had been out of office for 6 years when the Taliban came into existence.
The Pakistani government of Harvard-educated Benazir Bhutto, whom you see regularly interviewed on CNN (as if she were part of the solution, rather than part of the problem) put the Taliban in place almost single-handedly. Reagan had nothing to do with it.
Xlinton had the CIA investigating such national security issues as global warming and the plight of whales. He had the FBI terrorizing his political opponents. He had the BATF harassing thousands of small gunshops out of business.
All the while al-Qaeda was establishing a foothold in the US.
If recognizing that is "simple-minded," I'm content to be simple-minded. I visited the CIA once on a high school trip. (This was during the Carter administration.) They defined their mission to us as, "preventing the next Pearl Harbor."
On 9/11, a CIA whose leadership was 100% Clinton-era appointees failed to prevent the next Pearl Harbor.

If you prefer we can call them by another name but they are the same people. Wrong. It's true that bin Laden and Mullah Omar fought the Russians, but the Taliban per se was something the Paks cooked up in Kandahar well after the war ended, in order to make Afghanistan an obedient Pak client state. Turned out they'd made something closer to Frankenstein's monster.
If the Taliban were "the same people" who fought the Russians during Reagan's administration, what about Cmdr. Massoud and Abdul Haq, both heroes of the war against the Russians and both killed by the Taliban?

Didn't Clinton appoint some of those liberal judges who made decisions during the Bush/Gore election? Might look into that area of Clinton decision-making and his appointment of biased liberal agenda-setting law-making judges. (And I'm not talking about the supreme court judges appointed by the liberal Democrat governor precursor to Jeb Bush of Florida.)

We probably wouldn't be in this mess if he spent less time looking at girls thongs and playing with cigars.

Commendable effort, Shen. Thank you. BTTT Agreed. But a friendly FYI: This is an "Angelfire" web site, which means that - depending on your reading speed - you'll spend a significant amount of time clicking away the relentless pop-up ads.
Still, a lot of good stuff there. I found it quite worthwhile.

Great job. I sent it to my Dad, also a veteran.

You can call the Taliban something else in their origin but the U.S. under Reagan trained, financed, and armed them. It's a fact. The C.I.A. of that era put this all into action and this same C.I.A. under Reagan and Bush Sr. did zero to prevent 9/11. This in no way gives Clinton a free pass but to solely place the blame on him is pure slanted nonsense.

Maybe if you weren't dumping this on the shoulders of Bush, you might not get such a response from others. You say Bush was in office practically a year - well it was 8 1/2 months. It makes me wonder why you would exaggerate his time in office except you obviously have it in for Bush. See my #31 and why I think Bush didn't catch up with this! All his in-briefings upon coming into office were given by Clinton's PC appointees - do you think they are going to give the straight poop? This is 99% Clinton fault. Bin Laden and Zawahiri did not come to power until after Somalia - which was on Clinton's watch and he did nothing for 8 years! The FBI knew there were terrorist cells in the US since 1996/1997. What the hell was Clinton doing about that?

Thank you for this history of Clinton's lack of attention to our great nation and it's citizens. I have sent this page to everyone I know who cares deeply about our security and who knows where the blame belongs. President Bush's new administration walked right into this hell the Clinton administration left us all in. We citizens of the great USA need to send them our prays. God Bless our Nation.
To: Alissa
If it's 99% Clinton's fault I suppose the actual perps get 1%?
So the Bush time in office was 8 and a half months. Could you answer my earlier question: How much time need pass before it would become the next President's fault?
Also, do you deny that Bush Sr. both as President and head of the CIA failed miserably concerning the state of our CIA?

What about Reagan? He failed to retaliate after 241 U.S. marines in Lebanon were slaughtered on his watch. Do you blame him for their deaths? Do you blame him for not only retaliating but supporting Islamic fundamentalists in Afghanistan afterwards?
None of you are showing any consistency in the way you evaluate our current dilemna. You're no different than the Dems who blame everything on a VRWC.

Reagan was fighting against the "evil empire." Reagan considered ANYONE fighting the Russians should be supported. I think throughout history, you will find that many examples of instances where a country was supported only to change once they were in power. Bhutto, who's been all over CNN and Fox, has said she had supported the Taliban but they changed once in power. This is not JUST a US position, nor is it unusual.
Did you forget all the crap about Arms for Hostages that also went on doing Reagan's administration? Sometimes the less of two evils is chosen!
I consider Bush Jr. to be a superior president to his father. And I can't speak to the way his father ran the CIA, I was probably too busy raising kids at that time. But one thing I'm sure of, those terrorist cells in the US were already to go on inauguration 2001, and were just laying low for orders to attack. In other words, the training and damage had already been done!

Recommend you watch the MSNBC show on Suicide Islamics - they plant these "sleepers" who remain in country for months/years before given their orders! They just confirmed exactly what I said above - these 19 were ready to attack before Bush was even sworn-in!

They may have even been here before Clinton was sworn in but that's not the point anyway.
