Billy Graham Fulfilling last Prophecy? (posted in Oct., 2001)

Billy Graham - Sept 14, 2001 There is one thing about what happened (last Tuesday/Friday) that came in under the radar and escaped many Christians. For the first time in history, one man (Billy Graham) spoke the Gospel to the entire world at the same time. He gave the sermon at the National Memorial Service and was broadcast on every major television station in the U.S. and by satellite to the world.Every country in the world received this broadcast...and because it was a Geo-Political event, every leader watched and heard it translated into his/her language. Many ministers have their messages broadcast in other countries and carried around the world, but this is the first time that the entire world listened to the Gospel preached at one time. The World and All its leaders tuned in and heard the gospel. Never before has one individual preached to the leaders of the world and their country at one time.Mark 13:10 - And the Gospel must first be preached to all the nations Matthew 24:14 - And this Gospel of the King shall be preached in the whole world for a witness to all the nations and the end shall come. Romans 10 - whole chapter - particularly verse 18.One thought on this is that through Billy Graham today, Biblical prophecy was fulfilled. As we listened to him, retail stores had the entire service broadcast throughout every speaker in the store's audio system. It was on virtually every TV and radio station and people across America held hands and wept before God. Some say that the Holy Spirit came upon Billy Graham just as it did upon John the Baptist announcing the Kingdom of God is at hand. Some also believe that this is the most significant prophecy to be fulfilled since Israel became a nation in 1948. Agree or not, it was staggering to hear this. Scripture tells us often, to watch, take heed, and stay alert, for we do not know when the appointed time is.Mark 13:33. FYI

Nobody on this long thread has mentioned that he was "beamed" by satellite all over the world.

There's more, but I don't want to bog you down now

Are you trying to make a point or just be condescending? A thousand years is to the Lord as a day, and a day is as a thousand years. Just do not go around trying to set specific dates. The important thing is to be ready. He may not return for another 500 to 1,000 years, or maybe next week. I don't see how it can go on much longer myself, but we simply do not know. The president of Family Radio was made to look like a fool, when he predicted the second coming for Sept of 1994. Be ready.

Be ready

That is the important point. Be ready. If you are, it will not matter if the end comes tomorrow or later.

Out of your own mouth I will prove you wrong and show that it is you and all your commentators who are not understanding "evil" and denying the Sovereignty of God. - CCWoody

I see you don't take to "wise counsel" very well. But, maybe God can work on that. In the meantime, the computer gets unhooked this morning and boxed up to be moved. It's moving day and it will probably be back in service in a week (after all the unpacking).

And anyone else feel free to make whatever comments in the meantime. I'll be back. Have fun.

2 Peter 3: 12 waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be kindled and dissolved, and the elements will melt with fire! 13 But according to his promise we wait for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. 14 Therefore, beloved, since you wait for these, be zealous to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace.

Revelation 3: 11 I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown. 12 Him who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will he leave it. I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on him my new name. 13 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

New earth, new heaven, new Jerusalem. The old stuff is toast. Forever lasts until God says it's over. He is Forever.

This is GOOD, but Billy does not preach "the Gospel of the Kingdom" which is a serious and radical bringing of EVERYTHING under the LORDSHIP of Christ. Billy preaches the gospel of individual soul salvation by trusting Christ as personal saviour for salvation from the power and consequences of sin, especially the eternal damnation of the soul.(Hell)

Well, you can believe we have 500 - 1,000 years if you want; that is your privilege. However, I believe there is a scripture which says, "it HAS BEEN GIVEN UNTO YOU TO KNOW THE MYSTERIES AND SECRETS OF THE KINGDOM"; also, we (as Christians) are supposed to know the "times and the seasons". The Bible is progressive revelation - God did it that way on purpose. If you just look around you, I agree we cannot go on much longer this way. But I do believe it was also prophesied that people would grow weary of hearing that Jesus was coming soon - and treat it as a joke.

I didn't mean to sound condescending - it was more a concern of overloading the person with more prophecy than he could handle.

I heard a prophecy in 1985 - a great deal of which has already come true. Years after, I relistened to the tapes of the prophecy and experienced an encounter with God. It was also witnessed by a guest in my home. I am fully persuaded the 1985 prophecy is very accurate. This is why I am confident in saying there is not much time left. Do I have a date? Absolutely NOT! The Bible is very clear that only the Father knows - but as Christians, I do see and sense a wrapping up of things.

But, quite frankly, I don't care if anyone believes me or not. I just keeping telling people - and when it happens (Damascus), people will realize they don't have much time to make their decision for Jesus.

Well then, please explain to me how you justify the scripture, "it has been given unto you to know the mysteries and the secrets of the kingdom"??? If we, as Christians, are supposed to know the mysteries and secrets, as well as the times and the seasons, then certainly we can have a general sense that things are wrapping up. Which they are! I don't have a DATE, because the Word also says, "only the Father knows". But, we are supposed to know what time it is on the calendar of spiritual things. To go off on a tangent saying, we can't know, is just ignorance!

To go off on a tangent saying, we can't know, is just ignorance!

How is posting the most direct statement in the bible on the subject going off on a tangent? In case you missed it, here it is again:

Matthew 24:42-51: "Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come"

It also says "44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh."

Which is stating that in fact the Son of man will come not when you think he does, but when you think he isn't going to. Which would be an even more direct reason why you should not waste your time trying to figure out when it is. Be ready always! If you are, it won't matter when He comes.

So once again, how is the most direct statement on the subject going off on a tangent? And how is beleiving that ignorance? If anything, I think ignorance would be not beleiving the Lord, and thinking that if you try hard enough you will know when he comes, when in fact we have been told directly, on this subject, that WE WILL NOT KNOW. And furthermore, that He will come not when we expect him, but when we don't expect him.

Yes, I am sure that is correct, and many take it that way now.

It was also witnessed by a guest in my home. I am fully persuaded the 1985 prophecy is very accurate.

Let me say this about that. If anyone receives a prophesy from God, it better be more than just very accurate. It better be 100% right, or it is not from God.

The Bible is very clear that only the Father knows - but as Christians, I do see and sense a wrapping up of things.

This is true, only He knows when. If He returns in 1 year, we are to be ready. If He returns in 1,000 years, our decendants are to be ready. The key words are: be ready.

New earth, new heaven, new Jerusalem. The old stuff is toast.

Or, just maybe the earth is "new" because there is no more evil -- that is, within the earth will dwell only righteousness. Otherwise, how do you explain Rev 22, in which it is written the nations are healed. Or how do you explain David, Ecclesiastes, John 3:17, and the myriad of passages in the Revelation that indicate the "old" earth and the "new" earth are one and the same (except the Lord reigns over the "new" earth).

Go ahead and condemn the world, if you must. I, on the other hand, trust in God's Word which clearly indicates He sent His Son to save the world, not to condemn it.

The prophecy in a nut shell:

Syria will shell Israel with skud missles which they now have in place around Damascus (these skud missles were written about in the Jerusalem Post about 2 years ago).

When Syria sends the missles, Israel will take out Damascus with a nuclear bomb (Isaiah 17:1).

When that happens, Russia (and all their hordes) and China will join forces and go after Israel. The reason they will use is that Israel is the worst nation in the whole world for using nuclear weapons; because no one else has used them.

We will not be involved in this conflict except to support Israel with armament and/or intelligence.

Russia/China will meet Israel in the Valley of Middigo. On top of that valley is Mt. Carmel. On top of Mt. Carmel is a TV transmitter. The station is owned by CBN, and during this conflict, Israel will have restricted TV coverage, so the Mt. Carmel TV transmitter will be the only one which will be allowed to film the war. The man who will run the camera is a man by the name of Harold (he is currently employed by CBN and travels the world filming testimonies (how he got there is another whole story - and I have personally heard his testimony). While he is broadcasting the war, he will be reading the scriptures.

Anyway, while the war is going on, GOD is going to show up and defeat Russia/China. The scriptures talk about Israel spending 7 months collecting all the armament left laying on the ground from this war. The Russia/China armies will no longer exist.

When the world gets a look at GOD fighting this war, they will be running to any building with the word "church" written on it and demanding "do you know THIS GOD". People had better get their churches ready because they will need to be open 24 hours a day 7 days a week to minister to the people who will be flocking to their churches. This will be the final harvest. How long it will last, I have no idea.

The majority of this war is in Ezekiel 38 and 39.

gotta agree Sue ... with the proliferation of nuclear weapons, chemical weapons and biological weapons, this old world doesn't have that much time ... I'm not being pessimistic; rather it's pretty likely that mankind is very close to destroying every living thing on Earth ... with Islam attacking Israel and America, it's only a matter of time ...

Jesus came to save people, not a planet.

You are certainly entitled to an opinion, but your opinion is not backed up by scripture; except, maybe, when taken out of context and when the Revelation of Jesus Christ is ignored.
