Revelation 3: 11 I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown. 12 Him who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will he leave it. I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on him my new name. 13 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
New earth, new heaven, new Jerusalem. The old stuff is toast. Forever lasts until God says it's over. He is Forever.
Or, just maybe the earth is "new" because there is no more evil -- that is, within the earth will dwell only righteousness. Otherwise, how do you explain Rev 22, in which it is written the nations are healed. Or how do you explain David, Ecclesiastes, John 3:17, and the myriad of passages in the Revelation that indicate the "old" earth and the "new" earth are one and the same (except the Lord reigns over the "new" earth).
Go ahead and condemn the world, if you must. I, on the other hand, trust in God's Word which clearly indicates He sent His Son to save the world, not to condemn it.
