The Neverending Story
An ongoing debate on Scripture, Tradition, History and Interpretation.

Statesmen may plan and speculate for liberty, but it is religion and morality alone which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand. The only foundation of a free constitution is pure virtue. - John Adams

1. Islam 100%

2. Orthodox Judaism 100%

3. Conservative Protestant 95%

4. Eastern Orthodox 95%

There was no place for Non-Denominational Bible-believing Christians on this test

The questions were skewed for Corporate religions

I believe that I am 100% follower of the Christ not a member of a Corporate religion.

And of course, the all knowing, all seeing, Word of God on earth, Havoc, if transported back to the days of yesteryear, would instantly be able to tell that the forged decretals were forged. Just by examining them. What a talent he is.

Why not. The Holy Spirit leads in all things. You're trying to sell us that he Protects you while at the same time leading you into error and darkness for 1100 years. But we know the Holy spirit doesn't lead people into error or darkness. And he doesn't lead people into creating frauds like the decretals, or into buying into or creating frauds like the many false books of ignatious that your church still clings to in spirit but grudgingly admitted were fakes. YOU keep telling us your church knows better and is the ONLY one who can know the full truth, yet it is your church that has been more readily duped, more readily willing to lie and commit fraud... And for 1100 years Your religion was in such darkness of being clueless whilst saying they were the keeper of truth.. WHAT truth, the truth of the Books of Clement, the Homilies, The Donation of Constantine, of Pepin? How about the forged gospels that we haven't even began to discuss? what of all those? Duped continuously, yet the world is supposed to TRUST the RCC that knows better.... I'd more readily trust Mr. Magoo to tell me What's 3 feet ahead of him..

There was absolutely no chance of changing the outcome, and the American people were not going to pay attention anyway. I'm sure he got strong armed into this to be "unanimous." You are right that it is something that a true constitutionalist should have insisted upon, but I can't really hold this against him. It was futile.

Wow! Three colors! I'm impressed.

Now, what are you on about? Why are you confusing the Church's role in determining Truth in matters of faith and morals with the magical ability to be able to without flaw determine the absolute truth or falsehood of every single thing under the sun? This wouldn't be deliberate, would it?

Please give me one example of anything you are claiming as a fraud that the Church either didn't know about or perpetuated itself that means a damn about anything about faith and morals.

Good Lord, Havoc, I'd be pissed at the Church as well if I thought it was magic in knowing all truth about all things at all times like you apparently think we claim. It's about scope. Look into it before you go complete chromatic.

Your apparent megalomania prevents you from seperating the two. I will not worship your twisted interpretation.

Megalomania. Comeon, no real words? No real conversation from the Quick and the Whitted? Why no response to the substance - why just slur. Why, does one flail about when they are in the water and being sucked down - because that's all they can do... I can watch you flail, or give you a hand. Men don't respect God's word whether he writes it or others do. That isn't the point you want to make. You want to say Jesus didn't write a book so you don't have to listen to it and accept it's authority as any better than your own. Sounds like what a bunch of people in the wilderness said. But, your argument is flawed from the beginning.

Don't forget that , in addition to reading, Jesus DID write SOMETHING . When confronting the crowd preparing to stone the woman taken in adultery, He picked up a stick and began writing on the ground , saying, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

"He picked up a stick..."???? What Bible are you reading?

Probably the same Bible where you got this:

"However, His words to us were,IMVHO, preached to us through the preaching of His Apostles in the Church that HE founded on the rock of Peter ."

"Binding and loosing" was an ancient rabbinic expression, referring to imposing religious obligations on people, or releasing them therefrom, by authoritative decision.

What is your source? Thanks.

Sorry, I was not clear. Send your boys to a Jesuit high school in the 50's.I was bemoaning the state of those schools currently. However,I believe the RCChurch is about to go through a tremendous cleansing which will leave us purer and poorer and stronger and far more able to do what Christ asked.

I agree with you. As I have said before, some of my grandchildren still go to Catholic schools because they are the better of poor choices.

You and I may not see it, but I believe we will see married Clergy in the RCC one day. We could even see (horrors) women Clergy.

I too often get the impression that some here consider RCs to be some kind of pagan cult.

All I know about RCs I learned on FR. (Now that's a scary thought)

There already are married clergy in the Church. You will never see women "priests." It is simply impossible. Count on it.
