You want to say Jesus didn't write a book so you don't have to listen to it and accept it's authority as any better than your own. Sounds like what a bunch of people in the wilderness said. It's not a slur. You blieve that whatever you think Scripture says is the automatic true meaning, and whenever someone has a different take on things, that they hate Scripture, or won't abide by it. This is not a balanced attitude.
And it is quite fruitless to continue to argue over such points with someone who has possession of the fullness of the Mind of God.
