I could go back to work ... but that would be such a STUPID idea .. Girl! If you're a stay-at-home mom you DO work... and work...and work.... our hubbie's couldn't afford to pay us if they had to. We're self-employed ;^)
I've had girlfriends that tried quitting their jobs and staying home, said it looked so easy, (HA!)within a year they called it quits....said they couldn't be a good mom with the way their nerves were shot..better for everyone if they worked (and so on and so on). When I get the itch to regain some of my sanity by getting a job my dad ALWAYS pipes in with one of his favorite sayings (maybe should add here-- he had 5 girls)...
"The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world".
(course I knew you were kidding but it was a good excuse, hehehe)

it's a hour before dawn in Tucson
still pitch dark out there
one of the outside cats that Bill feeds in the frontyard
was sitting on my plant table when I came in here
it escaped thru the window
those cats have courage to come into the house during the night while the dogs sleep
I wish my dogs would let them live with us

hi susiegirl
did you quit your job
isn't it lovely to stay home and not go to work

it sounds like Mo just wants to wear pretty clothes
she said she wears them to Church, but that's all
I don't see why she can't wear them in her regular life
put on something pretty each time she goes out
I think she'd find it fun
she'd look so pretty in Home Depot
Love, Palo

Hi Palo, I have to run out the door in a few minutes....AGAIN! grrrr But I had to stop back in with a big 'good morning" to ya .:-)
I officially don't work but I do alot of dance projects (about to get paid for one, actually) and help my dad out at his business....he's retiring soon so that will be off my plate in a bit. I'm considering taking up some part time classes on an idea I have for a home-based business I can do with my girls as they grow. It will require some special knowledge. Hopefully it will work out.
Your cats sound precious. I'm sure they're happy to be with such a sweet soul as yours. Have a beautiful day!
Oh, one more thing .... about Mo and her clothes. I'm with you, I *love* dressing well and trendy at times, I just wear what I want to heck with what others say. (Secretly I bet Mo does, too *L*).

Hey, Mo! If your dad-in-law is a golfer you should ask tomkat what the latest golf gadget is and buy it for him. I know men and their hobbies...they make us think there couldn't possibly be an item out there that they don't already have but then they walk in the door with something new. Just a thought! Buying presents can be such an ordeal at times. I feel for you. ;-)
Have a great day!

One more post before I run....really. But I just had to tell you how exquisite your pictures are. You have a definite talent and I'm sure it is a salable one. I showed some of your butterfly pics to my sister and she immediately thought of calendars. Cards, too, posters...heck even those jig saw puzzles some people love but drive me nuts! I know I'd buy a calendar! Keep at it, I know you'll do wonderfully! Have a great day!

a.k.a. tomkat
but color me paranoid for not thinking the afghanis are gonna become our bestest buddies, k ??
What's that saying? "Just cause you're paranoid don't mean they're not out to get ya".
I heard another saying about Afghans and Paki's too (from experts no less! ;-)) "You can't buy these people but you can rent them. However the length of the available rental is shrinking all the time."
I know...i lied and posted again. Can i take my time out in the car? Won't be as fun as darlin's but we can't have everything, can we? LOL
To: susangirl
good morning susangirl - can I save you from a funkle?

Hello
I'm not posting much because I have to catch up on housework. I spent Monday and Tuesday taking pictures and working on them - now my house is a disaster. It's starting to look better now.
Now, after all the assurances that anthrax isn't much of a threat because it is too hard to make a spreadable, breathable version, we find out that 20 people in Sen. Daschle's office have been exposed to very sophisticated, engineered anthrax spores. I am not impressed with the lies and the false assurances. I want the people responsible for mailing these spores to be caught immediately. If they can't be caught, then what's the point of the Homeland Defense Dept.?
