I heard another saying about Afghans and Paki's too (from experts no less! ;-)) "You can't buy these people but you can rent them. However the length of the available rental is shrinking all the time."

when I lived in NYC
all I ever wore was jeans and T shirt
cause my dog Clio was an athlete
and I would take her with me whenever I went out
when I finished my shopping, we would head over to the school playground
I'd put down my shopping
and throw the ball for her for an hour
she was an amazing short stop
plus she could catch anything (even curve balls)
one summer when the Yankees weren't doin' well
a little boy suggested Clio join the Yankees
