If you have a baby on the way, bought a new car or house, found out your kid aced his SAT, are having a good harvest, caught an excellent fish, or have some other happy news please post it. I am so depressed and sad for my country, and I don't know ANYONE in person who has had anything nice happen in the last month. Not one person.

Well that's good news! :)
(except if he starts taking over your FReepin' time) ;)
Mr SUNNY so far shows NO interest (whew) but he does enjoy reading over my shoulder sometimes and this place is the best for the latest news, comments and laughs!

It was cool, windy and raining here all day. Good thing, I had to work all day.

How's that? Because...
"There's more old drunks than there are old doctors, so I guess I'll have another round..."(Willie Nelson)
(No personal reflection on your dad, of course, and that IS good news.)

I got good news yesterday. The skin biopsy which was done about two weeks ago ruled out skin cancer! That is wonderful! Throw yourself a party or at least give yourself an extra special treat, like a spa package or something you just couldn't bring yourself to buy because of the expense. You deserve it and it's your patriotic duty to spend (at least that's what I keep telling my husband)!

Hi Vicki! Years ago our fabulous gray cat, named Stormy, after the color of storm clouds, brought a baby squirrel, very gingerly in his mouth, and deposited it in the kitchen. We put him(baby squirrel} in a stocking cap, called the Dallas zoo to see what to feed him.We fed him the formula recommended;named him Isaac after Isaac Newton(gravity...falling...get it?)He thrived ad we set him free.A great family experience......

My beautiful son tells me he loves me everyday and tells me he likes me about 20 times a day.

I know what you mean. He was so against it , hated the idea of sitting and typing. He probably will do his posts late at night or a little in the afternoon.
That is so funny. He always hands me an article or says..... listen to this post something about this or that. LOL....
Good to see you my friend.

The good news is the GOOD NEWS.
I'm happy that among all of this despair
that I have peace knowing God is in control
and that Christ knows our suffering because
He suffered and died for us.
The day of the Twin Towers incident, I randomly
pointed to a place in the Bible and surprisingly
it said exactly what I needed.
Ephesians 6:10-18
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your
stand against the devil's schemes.
12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but
against the rulers, against the authorities, against the
powers of this dark world and against the spiritual
forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the
day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your
ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around
your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,
15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes
from the gospel of peace.
16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith,
with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit,
which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of
prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and
always keep on praying for all the saints.

I wiped out a deer on my way to work this morning. I missed the first, got the second. The good thing? I was able to drive my car into town although not home. But I was not stuck out along the highway in the dark. My insurance company had a loaner for me waiting when I got home and had my car towed home. Was in for therapy on my back and neck yesterday. Could not make the appointment today. However, as I stopped boy did I stop, and the neck sort of went with the flow I don't feel as bad as I did going to work before the sudden stop. My point being what could have been much worse was not so bad all in all. To me that is positive. I wish that was the most serious thing going on.

Clarification - the baby is my son's; not my daughter's.
He is 36, my daughter is 17, she was the resident daytime babysitter today.
