Special: Leak To Washington Post Is....
Military Naval Admiral/ Security Paper | 10-10-01 | My Favorite Headache

Posted on 10/10/2001 2:35:17 PM PDT by My Favorite Headache

I do not know whether this has been posted here through another source or is being pulled in threads or not. But through military sources and a private document I saw with my own eyes 2 names have been listed as the leak to the Washington Post. p> Sen. Orrin Hatch Republican from Utah and Senator Diane Feinstein Democrat from California. If this is pulled I will understand. This source is 100% accurate. I am currently writing a piece on our national security at this current time for one of the papers I write for. This is bound to come out soon. So I figured I would post this here first.

Actually they should be relieved of ALL committee assignments. With Hatch, the last time I emailed the senate majority and minority leaders requesting he be removed from all committees.

Hatch, Lott and Dole aren't conservatives. They're republicans. There's a difference, y'know.

Would some brave soul e-mail their individual offices and ask if they leaked? I'd be interested in whether or not either would respond to such a question.

Sure they would answer. They would answer with the usual lies in form letter format.

Members of the press scream with rightious indignation about the people's "Right to know". This really only means that if they're first to get some information, even if classified and will help their careers, they' going to run with it. Why then, isn't it our right to know which congress critter(s) violated our trust and the law by giving government secrets to the press? Hmmm? Maximus

Sure do. Grin. But I also recognize what they try to pass themselves off as.

"Senators have immunity from arrest while Congress is in session. "

Not exactly... "They shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be priviledged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session of the respective Houses..." etc.

If not considered as Treason, revealing classified that puts our people's lives at risk is certainly a Felony.

I drop scoops here and on www.capitolgrilling.com when I am sure some other reporter has the same scoop info I do and I know he is going to scoop me before my magazine deadline makes print. We all do it. Some of the non-newsies don't seem to understand.

Idiots!!! What don't they understand about the deadliness of this situation. Media whXXres!!

Sorry -- I just cannot believe someone leading our country (or a part of our country) could act so irresponsibly with ALL of our lives.

On second thought...time for house cleaning.

If true, this is no surprise. Hatch is just the biggest disapointment I have seen lately, and Diane, well, that is a given. I hope this is made public and they both are given the heave ho by the voters. (dream on)

This is not something that should not be posted that I can see. In fact, the names should be shouted from the housetop! Telling us who is doing the leaking is not going to hurt national security, the leaks are. Or, maybe I misunderstood your question?

Their immunity doesn't extend to treason: "except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace" (Art.I, sec.6). Wonder how far that immunity has been extended before without our knowledge? ;-)

She told me she had heard that Senator Feinstein was responsible, but that Senator Hatch was not.

Interesting. I wonder if Feinstein's people are telling everyone that it was all Hatch's doing?

PART of the leak was the comment that there is a "100% chance of new attacks" in a briefing made to Senators. There was MORE than that, but the Washington Post withheld the rest at the request of the White House. The Post article in question was previously referenced on FR.

Glad I xould be of help.

Ah, yes, my esteemed Senator DiFi. I recall sending her a letter after she apologized to the
Chinese telling her she was dogshit and that I would never forget.

Good going.
