If for ANY reason Rush might be away for 30 days...

If for any reason Rush might be out for maybe 30 days, if given a choice, who would you select as the four week replacement?
We have heard many different people, from Matthews to Williams. What does the person you selected have to offer over and above the other candidates? And how would Rush be missed?

Hey, you may be onto something, there. How about our very own CAL?
I heard her a couple of years ago, when she got through to talk to Rush about an upcoming FReeper rallly. She was accomplished, polished, very informative.
She could provide a "fresh face" and I think she'd do a good job.
Just fantasizing (no, I'm not referring to the fact that she's a knockout).

There is a radio guy in Corpus Christi, Tx. on in the afternoons that would be perfect. Eric Von Wade. He is great to listen to. Sharp as a tack and witty. Big on 2nd Amendment, and not afraid to voice it. Really up on all the issues. I'd swear sometimes he's a freeper.
{Listen to Eric Monday through Friday, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on 1440 KEYS} http://ericvonwade.com/

Walter Williams.......no question about it.

He had Alan Keyes do a show some years ago, one of his first guest hosts, and never had him back because he was so controversial.

Without a doubt Walter Williams...though I wouldn't mind if Neal Boortz had a chance to sit in for a while.

Motor Mouth Hannity? Give me a break. I'd like to hear George Putnam, thank you. Pat

How about Brit Hume, Hugh Hewitt, and Walter Williams ... I can get a good nap from 12 to 3 is Snow takes over for significant time.

Ever listen to Laura Ingraham? She's now syndicated on Westwood I believe. Pretty funny...and a hot item. (/magic filter so wife doesn't see this).

Walter Williams is the best. Keep Tony Snow off the radio.

Is Rush going to be away for 30 days? If not, why bother with a posting like this?

McCaslin of the Washington Times was the best host of Rush's show I have ever heard. As a matter of fact, I would rather listen to McCasling than Rush any day.

Laura Ingraham, Peggy Noonan and Mike Barnicle.

I personally hope Rush is on for a long time. You know he does not need the money. He enjoys hearing himself and I do too. He has done a lot to educate people, and a lot of Democrats listen and he has changed some of them. I don't like all he has to say, but you will never find 100% agreement with anyone and quite possibly you find you will not agree with yourself sometimes.

Sean's my favorite. I'm curious. What has Hannity ever said that struck you as original or insightful? He does have common sense, but apparently not much education.
Williams is great for a couple of days, but I'm not sure about a month. Rush should ask Steve Malzberg to do the show sometime and see how he handles it.

Given the times and circumstances, I'd have to go with the
Greaseman!
Back in the days when the name on my uniform said Greasemanelli, but everyone knew me as........SGT. FURY!

Rush peaked with Moving Pictures and hasn't really put out anything good since Signals.

Is this a hypothetical or is Rush really leaving for 30 days? Cuz (tin foil hat, firmly in place) if he is me thinks that is kinda strange considering the circumstances.
I always knew he joined those Burger-builders..
