[history]
Even by her usual incendiary standards, Ann Coulter's response to the terrorist attacks was something of a jaw-dropper.
"We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity," the conservative commentator declared in her column on National Review Online.
Those words created an uproar at the Web site, which refused to run a follow-up piece in which Coulter singled out what she called "swarthy males." She promptly began bad-mouthing National Review, which responded by axing her as a contributing editor.

Maybe no one informed her, but here in America we have something called private ownership. They own their magazine. I don't have to buy it.

Ann can come over to my house. I have a permanent job for her...she will never be fired. My guess is she will be hired full time at FoxNews.

Oh, and the fact that Coulter whined about being "censored" on Politically Incorrect is just the icing on the cake. I'm sure she and Bill Maher had a joint sob session afterward, in which they both cried profusely in a maudlin display of self-pity about being oppressed by the heartless, repressive forces of "PC."
As for waffling on what she meant by "convert them to Christianity" give it up, Ann. Anyone who can read sees your meaning plain as day. Once a lawyer, always a lawyer.

As much as I appreciate your meticulous and amazingly numerous posts, I think that we diverge on Ann Coulter's article. I've never understood the pheromonal control that Ms. Coulter had on the males on this board. It's almost as if her scent caused them to park their brains. Of course, it was a senseless, irresponsible thing for her to write. If she was ugly, she would have been treated like Falwell. I'm saddened to see that she doesn't have the courage or humility to apologize as Falwell did. As much as I think that Falwell if puffed up, I have new respect for him due to his public apology.

Ann Coulter has done more for the "conservative cause" in the past six years than NR has done in the last 46 years. Whoa, I'm not a large type fan of National Review but that's taking it a bit far, don't ya think? She's hot (or at least a lot of folks think so) and she's not illiterate....that's about all you can say. NR, like it or not, is a pillar of the conservative movement.
Ann is young and brilliant, and has a long future ahead of her to get even better. Out with the old, in with the new.
Not so fast. I don't know what qualifies as young these days but the illustrious Miss Coulter will turn 40 in 2002. And as she gets older, so will her act. She's very abrasive and annoying on TV. She grew up in Greenwich and has gotten by on her looks all her life and it shows. Her looks are rapidly deteriorating. All too soon, she is gonna need all the friends she can get.

a vote FOR Ann Coulter ...

They chose sides by being PC in the firing of Ann Coulter, watch what they do, not what they say.

Now that Ann will have a little more time on her hands, maybe I should ask her if she wants to take on my case. I could use a constitutional scholor type? LOL
To: JeanS
Ann Coulter is a very brave, valuable, talented, beautiful, & very dear person ---
& a great American, --- but she, ---- quite understandably, ----
went a bit off the deep end with anger & grief over her dear friend,
and great irreplacable American, Barbara Olson's tragic death at the hands of the terrorists.
To: JMJ333
How easy it would be to "convert" these folks!! Bullets? Conversion from the "living" to dead?
