lawgirl, I've been in that Mosque. Attended a daily prayer service there in 1991. Of course we girls had to walk around the edge of the inside of the Mosque sans shoes, but when the prayers began we were herded behind a screen in the back of the Mosque. I thought it was rather silly, but we were there to learn about other faiths. I'm glad Dubya went there too. Islam simple must get a handle on their fanatics. Of course, Christianity has it's Aryan Nation, but it's not much of a threat to anyone yet.

Thank you for this night's balm looking at this man whom I trust and his lovely First Lady whose always-beautiful exterior only reflects her inner beauty.

Those 37 awful post election days were really worth it because WE knew Dubya was the winner and the better man. NOW the world knows. (Liberal media is just playing CYA and catchup.)

I was flipping channels right after the President's remarks at the Pentagon today. MSNBC had been covering it and was getting ready to go "back to the studio" as the President walked into the hall. The reporter (don't know who it was) said, in effect, "Wait a minute! You've just got to see the reaction the President is getting from these people." The network stayed on for several minutes as President Bush walked down the hall shaking hands and speaking to these people.

Kudos where they are deserved ...... MSNBC gets a small gold star from me for showing this ...... and their coverage was in a very positive light (though there were some of the usual snide remarks about the President "growing" though we all know who is having their eyes opened).

As more and more people see this sort of thing, more and more people are getting to know President Bush as we have "known" him all along.

God bless President Bush and God bless the USA!

RINTENSE......THANK YOU AGAIN FOR ALL THE GREAT MONTHS OF PICTURES. TELL ME, DID YOU SEE ON MSNBC FOR A QUICK 2 SECONDS, THE PIC OF BUSH, GULIANI AND PATAKI? IT WAS THE BEST PICTURE OF ALL TIME. THE PRESIDENT'S BACK IS TO THE CAMERA, HIS LEFT HAND IS TOUCHING GULIANI'S CHECK, AND HIS RIGHT HAND IS ON PATAKI'S SHOULDER. IT WAS SO, SO TOUCHING. I HOPE SOMEONE HAS IT TO POST.

To those of you who saw the speech at the mosque: Did something seem to be wrong with him? The clip that they keep playing again and again seems fine--he was doing very well. But at the beginning of his speech he seemed really strange--like he was shaken up by something. I know Dubya is sometimes inarticulate or speaks slowly, but this was worse than usual. Something seemed wrong. And as rintense commented about this picture, his mind seemed a million miles away afterward while the other guy was talking.

Perhaps the people had just told them some sad stories and he was focusing on keeping composure. But it worried me.

Thanks for all the great photos. What a trying time. Very sad. I thank God for President Bush. He is what this country needs right now. They are all doing a great job. I can't imagine all the stress of that job. But thank God for President Bush's leadership.

Those 37 awful post election days were really worth it because WE knew Dubya was the winner and the better man.

I think those days were really helpful in making him a stronger man for the battle that he faces even now. This is much worse than a political battle. His very life is in danger. And truthfully, I don't even think he is thinking about his own life, but instead his heart is heavy over the lives lost in N.Y and Washington. And his heart is heavy, but determined, to save our country and others from the evil of terrorism.

I am so very proud of this man, and of the job he is doing.

I'm sure he was very preoccupied with other events, you can just imagine when you are planning a WAR! But, I saw the clips, and I think he may have been a little uncomfortable in a mosque. However, he wanted to make a point, and I think it was made well.

WE cannot allow ourselves to become the same as those who did this evil to us. I heard about my friend's cousin whose car was egged and the next day his car was vandalized (2001 Honda) all because his skin is a little darker. He is not muslim --he's Christian, and he's not Arab, he's Indian. It's very sad to have this kind of thing happen, and that is in Tulsa, Oklahoma!

I saw footage of Laura speaking at the memorial service today. She was visibly moved.

I was mad at an idiot reporter earlier, who described our President's response as 'muted.' Unbelievable, do they even follow what is going on?

rintense, i think one of the best Quotes this week from our President was this one

"And the commitment of our fathers is now the calling of our time."

I didn't see the clip, but I'd imagine there would have to be an incredible amount of trust for him to do what he did. Perhaps he received a signal from his advisors that something pivotal happened...

Yes he has looked heartbroken over the monstrous attack which killed so many Americans.....but I also see a man of steel who has the resolve to do everything possible to destroy these terrorists and those who aid them!

Thanks Be to God for President GW Bush. May God guide & grant him wisdom in these perilous times.

"And the commitment of our fathers is now the calling of our time."

I agree with you! That line was one of the most meaningful to me over this last week.

rintense, thank you for the photos, I've been away for several weeks and have really missed your work. I know you all are lifting our President and his staff in prayer, what could be more important in these dark days?

Thank you, rintense, for the pictures of our President and lovely Laura. This is a very important and uplifting thing you do here every day. I hope you know how much we appreciate it.

I just can't believe how much this man does in one day. Surely God is giving him supernatural strength.

My father served in the Army for 21 years from 1941 thru 1962, 4 years in WWII and 2 terms in the Korean War. Thats why I can relate to the quote, I just wish he was well enough to witness how united we are as a country, he would be on cloud nine.

I read somewhere that there have been specific threats against the Bush family. I would assume that would include the twins and George and Barbara.

Dubya and Laura are doing a wonderul job. Laura was so eloquent and poised today (as always) and I believe she is a calming influence for many.
