Freepers or anyone else who engage in bigoted attacks agains Arab Americans or innocent Muslims in this country are engaging in seditious conduct. By stirring up internal division and animosity they are helping the enemy.
Some of us need to grow up, some need to shut up, and more need to speak up.

On the other hand, any American who raises awareness and concern, about potential dangerous Arab, Muslim infiltrators amongs us, is doing his patriotic duty.
Awareness, concern, self-defense are not words of hate. They are, along with words like internment, words which draw on reality, history. History reveals we interned individuals with Japanese, Italian and German backgrounds, during WWII. Among them were found to be several dangerous enemies. Why wouldn't we likewise consider same, now?
Are we just too plain politically correct, too multicultural, to look out for our own well being? Even after Tuesday, 11 Sep. 2001? According to some estimates, there are still upwards of 400 "sleepers", as yet undiscovered infiltrators, waiting to unleash their assigned terrorist acts. Think about it that way, too.

"Muslims should not be in our midst at this point in time". Internment camps for muslims? Someone is suggesting internment camps for all muslims on FR?
To: lavaroise
Japanese AMericans had to be sent to campsJapanese Americans were sent to camps for the same reason you want to rid America of Muslims, racism. Why weren't German Americans sent to camps? When you start to trash the Constitution for any Americans, be ready to give up your own rights, they'll be next.

To take a page from the leftist play book: The bigots and fanatics are only a tiny minority of Christians. You shouldn't paint those legitimately concerned about enemies in the domestic muslim community with the same broad brush.

Obviously any Arab or Muslim who joins the Crusade that Bush has now set into place against the evil Jihad is a good person.

Maybe loyal US citizens who are muslims have read FR and take their second amendment rights _very_ seriously would they'd think that any government that tries to put them into internment camps is oppressive? Of course, people have different views about the second amendment, but my view is that the right of people to keep and bear arms shall not be restricted. Would muslims in internment camps get to keep and bear arms? Would this sort of gun control set a precedent for other dangerous "types" of US citizens?

Deportations should increase dramatically, yes, absolutely.

Why didn't the Palestinians invite Maxine to dance in the streets with them for their WTC Victory Party?
Perhaps they are the racists.

Democrats are turning this into a civil rights issue, not a war. They must be stopped.
"Innocent Arab people both at home and abroad and immigrants across the U.S. face a danger of racist and xenophobic attacks. We call on the Bush Administration, and all state and local authorities to take measures to guarantee everyone's safety. The danger is that the cycle of violence will spiral out of control with more death and destruction." Communist Party USA press release September 12, 2001
"We must hold on now and not start pointing fingers at Arab-Americans and Muslim-Americans"--Hillary Clinton 9/15/01
There are virtually no reprisals against anyone in America. But the left would have us think there are or might be. The left wants Americans to believe a few isolated evil acts are comparable to what occurred in NYC and DC. Dan Rather and the CBS evening news just ran a piece about how Moslems in America are being persecuted. The New York Times ran an article today and lamented a rise in xenophobia.
The left knows they cannot bash Bush, they know it is not business as usual, but they are laying the groundwork for when this is all over. They will give Bush, our military and America only the support polls tell them is needed. Schumer, Hillary, Nadler and others will turn in a heartbeat when there are, as there will be, reversals, when there are more American deaths.

--the sending of Japanese -Americans to camps was one of the stupidest errors of WWII, and incidentally was opposed by J. Edgar Hoover--

You are the "traitor" here. To American ideals, the Constitution and the concept of liberty.

and more need to speak up Indeed they do. So far I haven't heard much from moslems (American or otherwise) or Arabs (American or otherwise) supporting the US, or condemning bin laden and other terrorist scum in clear, strong language.
When (if?) they do, I'll revise my opinions. Until they do, my conclusions will not change.

Someone is suggesting internment camps for all muslims on FR? Just for you information, I was the one who reported that, in my opinion, you are trolling. I've read your posts in the past. Always a question, Moriatry, always a baiting question. Always negative waves. I don't think America nor FR needs that right now.

Am I still allowed to hate Maxine Waters? DFU, that's a mandate, not an allowance.

At this time we must consider every muslim to be our enemy. This is not based on racism. This is not based on religious hatred. This is a prudent, common sense approach to take. This should not be construed as an open invitation to attack muslims in this country. But we must consider all of them as our enemy. Just as medical personnel use universal precautions with every patient. Just as responsible firearms owners treat every weapon as if it were loaded. We must consider every muslim to be America's enemy. We must find out where they live. We must keep an eye on them and report all suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities. We must never turn our backs to them, since they are cowards who will only attack you when your back is turned. We must be ever vigilant to their every movement. Americans need to understand the color codes of combat awareness and go to Condition Yellow. When a muslim is near you, you need to go to Condition Red. Muslims in America are going to feel a lot more uncomfortable. They had better get used to it. They are all under suspicion now. If muslims don't like it, then they need to consider moving to an islamic country. Right or wrong, all will now be considered suspect. That is one of the realities of war. And make no mistake about it, we are at war.
