Do We Know If Any FReepers Died Alongside BKO? Is Everyone Accounted For?

The paper this morning has a list of 39 identified persons lost at the WTC. JR's name (Segis on FR) is not one of the names there. He told me his real name a couple of times. He is from the Phillipines oringinally and his name is one I can't remember to tell you what it is, but one I will recognize if I see it.

I hope I see in a survivors list tho.

I know he didn't have a computer at home, and I'm hoping that's the only reason we haven't heard from him.

Last year one of our female freepers(I think she was from Florida) left a message on FR about someone trying to get into her home. She said she was going to call 911 and then inexplicably stopped posting for hours and hours on end. Some of you may remember how franticly the board tried to learn what her real name was and where she lived so we could send help(if necessary). Eventually she came back online and thankfully everything was alright.

You may or may not remember at that time I and several others proposed a 'Freeper Buddy System'. The idea is that everyone who wanted to participate would pick a trusted Freeper to share their real name and phone number with so they could be contacted in an emergency. Having a redundant line of communication would also come in handy if anything ever happened to the forum. I take this opportunity to repeat that proposal.

I am so sorry, fone, about your nightmare. Are you a Vet? I've been thinking that there would be many nightmares come to our Combat Veterans. This has to bring back the horror of war to them. I know that for me, personally, it brought back the horror of Pearl Harbor. But this is worse. Much worse.

Not only is the magnitude worse, but when Pearl Harbor was bombed there was NO creep making excuses for the enemy or protesting our fighting back.

From Thursday, I had no DSL or local dialup. I am sure many NYC freepers have the same problems.

Some FReepers get online at work, some may not be able to get home, and some may be involved in rescue efforts. So a lack of recent posts does not necessarily mean the worst.

Thanks for your concern, I've been sickened last weeks events and was numb for a few days. I've been bumping for relief supplies to help our brave rescue workers.

Fred is right, I'm an upstate kind of guy, I live about 60 miles north of NYC. I've never liked the city,(traffic and rudeness) and even avoid NYC freeps. I would have more likely to be on one of those planes, I love to travel. My wife says hiding under the seat.(LOL)

We have lost hundreds of people from the Mid Hudson Valley. They might not be freepers or friends, but they are my neighbors. There is a report out of Kingston, that 7 students from one school lost both parents.

I wondered if there were any freepers on the planes or in the buildings among the missing.

My prayers go out daily that GOD give the survivors and the families of those lost for the strength to carry on.
