SPECIAL EDITION
On this National Day of Prayer and Remembrance, President Bush gave one of the most inspiring speeches in our nation's history. In one of the most stirring moments, President Bush said, 'This nation is peaceful, but fierce when stirred to anger. This conflict was begun on the timing and terms of others; it will end in a way and at an hour of our choosing.'
Later in the day, the President visited the destruction in NYC, first flying over the rubble of the World Trade Center, and then witness the rescue and ruins first hand. In his rallying cry to the hundreds of rescue personnel, President Bush spoke to the workers with a megaphone. In the highlight of his speech in NYC, the President had the following exchange with the crowd:
RESCUER: I can hear you!
PRES. BUSH: I can hear you too! (crowd laughs)... And the world can hear you... (crowd cheers) and the people who knocked down these buildings will be hearing from all of us soon! (crowd erupts with chants of USA! USA! USA!)
Fittingly so, on this National Day of Prayer and Remembrance, the nation and the world can take comfort in knowing that we have a man of passion and principle leading the greatest country in the world.
Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!
Her dream of absolute rule in a future Marxist dictatorship slips further and further away...
How right you are, Miss Marple! He is looking at a man of character, a leader with strength, purpose and vision, and a husband with a wife who loves him.
Not only is he not in the same league as President Bush, he doesn't even know what the game is.
Take a look at Schumer trying to get in on the action, he doesn't stand a chance!
I thought of this song many times today and how President Bush was indeed placed upon this earth for such a time as this.
I have to admit, I was thinking of cropping the cathedral photos to remove the Xlintons. BUT...yeah...what a way to contrast the outstanding demeanor of W, and the Bush family's love, with the vitriol and hatred between the X42 and #97. It has even registered with Chelsea. If she can get away from those toxic parents of hers, she MIGHT have a normal life.
Muslims around the world must stand up NOW, TODAY, and repeatedly denounce the violence and carnage in New York. Muslim LEADERS must keep telling the self-deluded "martyrs" that they are going straight into the fires of HELL when they die, not into the arms of loving maidens as they reportedly believe. These so-called "men" must be DEPROGRAMMED from their hate by respected clerics of their own faith heritage. Please!! Muslims around the world, speak out often and loudly and let the truth be heard. Only the truth can set us free.
Could someone post the Eagle w/Tear picture from earlies today. Also, I am hunting the picture of George Washington that was placed in the newspaper ad during the House Managers Tribute. My aunt is here in Pgh. from Alaska and she never saw it. I know she would love it. Thanks, Karen.
I think you are right.
I have been looking at this thread every day I see it since Jan. 20. I don't know why, there is just something very reassuring about it. Maybe we are begining to understand why that is. Thanks for posting these pictures every day. It is very appreciated.
Two pictures grabbed me beyone belief. The gentle holding of Rudy's head-as the emotional trials of the past few days momentarily slides across the mayor's face at the touch from his President, and the Govenor-seeing this moment and about to touch the President's shoulder in understanding. I do not know if anyother picture will ever touch me as much...even tho it is our President from the side.
And then the gentle holding and lifting of the dog's head to gaze into it's eyes as the President himself has lowered his body to be more eye level (something he automatically does in a humble and an honoring way to all who are shorter in stature than he is). The men behind our President are all touched by this acknowledgement of a four legged rescuer, an animal who cannot vote, never will, but is deserving of high praise, indeed.
Thank you Father in Heaven for this wonderful, caring, touching, genuine human being who is leading us. Stay close and protect him Father, and always keep his heart tuned to your will. In Jesus name, Amen.
Maybe 2 or 3000, Julie! LOL!
