Excerpt from Drudge Report:
U.S. Rep. Martin T. Meehan (D-MA) scoffed at reports Air Force One was targeted by terrorists - the reason Bush aides have put forth to explain why the president delayed his return to Washington after Tuesday's attack on the Pentagon. 'I don't buy the notion Air Force One was a target,' said Meehan. 'That's just PR. That's just spin'...
(202) 225-3411 Meehan office number...

How do these people get elected? Mass look at your representatives and senators, they all reflect you, a sickening bunch of pukes.

Good for Matt Drudge to cite these examples of ignorance.
It's very comforting to know that for some of the Dem's, it will be 'business as usual' in DC. Good God. Do they have an ounce of morality, ethics, integrity, a sense of decency? At all?

I called Meehan's office, repeated the quote and asked if it was accurate.
The polite woman answered, "Sir the quotes were taken out of context."
So, it wasn't wrong or made up, it was taken out of context. What other meaning could possibly be extracted from quotes like that? Talk about spin.

I too called and asked if they were accurate and I too got the message, from a polite man that they were "taken out of context" and he proceeded to read me the full statement. I asked how the words reported were taken out of context, and he honestly answered "I really don't know".

Ok Freepers we need to do what we do Best! Freep Meehan!
The Goal is to get the news people to put presure on him and to get him to publicly retract his words!
Anyone got any ideas on how?

Gee, I wonder if Marty is getting any irate phone calls?? Well, I wouldn't say it was irate....
I was also told that the quote was taken out of context. I asked what the proper context for: 'I don't buy the notion Air Force One was a target,' said Meehan. 'That's just PR. That's just spin' would be.
I asked when Meehan would be publicly apologizing for his words. There was no response.

I called his office and let them have it.
Me: "What was the purpose of the Congressmen's comments?"
Lackey: "The Congressmen's comments were taken out of context, he's released a statement at www.house.gov/meehan in which he fully supports the president"
Me: "What was the correct context of the statment 'I don't buy the notion Air Force One was a target, That's just PR. That's just spin'"
Lackey: "The Congressmen fully supports the President"
Me: "What did he mean by that statement?"
Lacky: "I don't know, I'll have to check and get back to you"

From the rest of the Boston Herald article:
(here).
"It's not a question of what he's saying," said U.S. Rep. Richard Neal (D-Springfield). "The content is fine. But the blandness with which it is delivered has caused considerable reaction."
I called and was told this (and the rest of what was quoted in the article) was "wrong" (BS! When I asked if the congressman said Bush was bland the staffer said he didn't know since he wasn't there) and that there would be a statement issued later today.
Phone number is (202)225-5601. Two more for the traitor list. Go get 'em.

Can you tell us what you remember of the "full statement", just for grins?

The liberal socialists continue to panic in the face of the American people rallying around their President. We will remember this.

The Slime Ball has taken the phone off the hook.
I am sure Meehan, and all the other pundits would rather have had our President in the White House as it was under attack!
Keep calling!!

Marty Meehan is one of the absolutely stupidest people in the House- and that is saying something!
I think that it is not a coincidence that two of these planes were hijacked from Boston. Massachusetts might as well be an unfriendly foreign country (and yes, I have lived there- but I never plan to set foot in that corrupt State again).
