I too called and asked if they were accurate and I too got the message, from a polite man that they were "taken out of context" and he proceeded to read me the full statement. I asked how the words reported were taken out of context, and he honestly answered "I really don't know".LOL. "I really don't know, they just WERE, okay, Meehan told me to say so."
Can you tell us what you remember of the "full statement", just for grins?
The full statement was read very quickly and I was looking for some context. Nothing in the full statement was even remotely related to Air Force One not being in danger. The one line that really struck me though from the "full statement" is that as a nation we must "speak with one voice". Damn hypocrit.
