You have no idea what goes on behind the scenes. The Republican Party already made one very shrewd move when they tapped the Texas governor to run in 2000.
In case you're wondering why they did that, remember that he was a nobody until he beat Ann Richards in 1994.
When the Clintons looted the FBI files in 1993 the name of Geroge W. Bush was conspicuously absent.

I wonder if we could make these heroes honorary FReepers for the FReeper memorial? What makes you think they were not Freepers? Surely in spirit they were and shall remain. These guys were definitely not part of the Nation of Cowards written about a few years ago.

I would agree, except that the Medal of Honor cannot be awarded to civilians. There is some kind of Congressional medal that civilians can receive (I think Richard Petty received it a few years ago), and I'm sure they will all be recognized.

The truth may never be known what happened on that flight. As with most unsung heroes, there are never any witnesses who survive to tell their stories of their heroism. But there is always one Witness Who sees and remembers.
On a cynical note, one gets the impression that if Patriot were on that flight and heard of the intended target, he'd be the one navigating it in for a bullseye. Sheesh.

I, with tears in my eyes, salute these soldiers in civilian clothing. Greater love hath no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends...

You should change your screen name. You are no patriot. Putz76 is more fitting.

"These good people will be blessed with what their murderers can never have: a loving audience with God."And He will say to them..."Well done, My good and faithful servants!"
Eagles up!!! All the way to Heaven!
My prayers for the families of these brave souls! Thanks for this post, I wouldn't have seen this otherwise!

No greater reward hath a man than he give his life for his native land and his friends and loved ones...

I wish I could have seen the look on the faces of the hijackers when they realized their pplan was being foiled.

Too late Bush. The people are dead. It's a lot easier quarterbackin from that armchair, eh? Why don't you come back and at least defend the trash you post.
I'm reminded of the legend of the soldier who was running from battle and was brought before Alexander the Great. Alexander asked him his name. He replied, "Alexander." To which Alexander replied, "Change your behavior or change your name."
Think about that you so-called Patriot.

Thank you, I can not thing of a more fitting tribute to these hero's. God bless America, and God Bless those hero's.

I hate arabs. Nonsense. Arabs are among the most hospitable people in the world. They are also the ones with the longest memories who hold the deepest grudges.

This noble sacrifice and triumph on this devastating day deserves its own thread.
The overbearing, constantly annoying, nit-picking prig act is no one's friend. BACK OFF.

"Think about it. They stopped the plane that was headed for the White House." Or Camp David. Or any other target.
They get my humble vote for the first civilians to be awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor in this whole sorry mess.

I think the most important part of this thread is not on the one you linked, namely that passengers fought back. Thus, I give this thread the ol' bumpity bump.

Can't you read? We are using a LOT of bandwidth. It's posted right on the Latest Posts page, at the very top. We don't need a post for every single word spoken about this.
