True heroes, and I hope their bravery will give their grieving families some comfort.

The minute I heard about this crash in an isolated area, I knew it was because valiant Americans had sacrificed themselves, but I thought it was the pilot and crew.

This report just tears me up... they gave their lives to save countless others. They are heroes, all of them.

A posthumous Congressional Medal of Freedom is in order, and should be issued tomorrow. The man should be buried in Arlington National Cemetary, with an emblem of the CMF carved into his headstone. So there, bin Laden. You got your martyrs when they slaughtered thousands of innocent people. We got ours when they SAVED thousands of innocent people. Which ones are in Hell, dead man?

Thanks for posting this information, newsperson999. I had not ready this previously, and in my sadness over the incidents of today, I can find some solace in the patriotism of these brave Americans.

Someone said on a thread earlier today that as the hours and days passed, we would hear many different stories of heroic actions by by-standers, on-lookers and such.

Lord bless these AMERICAN heros! I pray He will give comfort and strength to their families in the days to come.
