When the Clintons looted the FBI files in 1993 the name of Geroge W. Bush was conspicuously absent.Hopefully, so was the name of George W. Bush.
;-)
(Hey, just giving you a hard time!)
What Americans! What men! What patriots! What heroes!
God bless and keep the families of each of those who made the decision to sacrifice their lives rather than allow the terrorists to succeed with their plans. I am sure Americans and those who love freedom the world over will rally to provide for the financial needs of the loved ones these heroes left behind.
We need cold, steely eyed determination here because no matter what military actions our President and his team direct - there will be consequences of those actions to deal with as well - along with potshots of criticism being tossed by all the enemies of President Bush and of all Americans.
We need the same determination to rid this country of those in places of power who are secretly rejoicing with the terrorists because this has happened under President Bush's "watch".....just as they did when the marine barracks in Lebanon was blown up - and Reagan's critics rejoiced that such an act took place on his "watch".
Further, we KNOW that Bill and Hillary Clinton are FRIENDS with IRA, PLO, and other terrorist groups - including the biggest terrorist nation of them all: Communist China! All Americans who are associated in a friendship with any terrorists should be exposed for the traitors they are and should face arrest and indictment for crimes against this country. Why? Because their friendship encourages, nourishes, those who want to destroy us!
US-Mexico border closed: Translation....closing the barn door after the horses get away.So which was it? Was it those noted Mexican Muslims? Or did they decide to swing into the US via a truck through the Mexican border? Maybe they just wanted some real Mexican food as their last meal.
Each of these receive our praise and thanks today.
At least some of the "pond scum" hated America enough to die to inflict yesterday's damage.I hate to be blunt, but frankly I could give a rat's behind about whatever emotions these people had. This was not a rational action no matter what their emotional state was.
Maybe you want to validate and sanction their anger by responding to it as if it were appropriate. All doing that would do is encourage more anger; after all, it "gets results" in such a scenerio.
The aspirin factory that Clinton bombed to distract attention from Lewinsky contained living human beings - including children - who are now dead. You and I and our fellow taxpayers coughed up a million bucks to repay the factory owner for our "mistake." Who took care of the janitor and his family who died in the attack?Yeah, well, Clinton is a bad man. Tell us something we don't already know.
It does not justify what happened yesterday.
For all we know, their loved ones had their own ideas about "retribution" which were visited upon the WTC and Pentagon today, and who could blame them for that? We want justice - they want justice. It is precisely that mindset which we must eradicate. When an enemy of the United States thinks exactly what you just thought, we need to have his next thought be of the horrible price that came in response to this action against the US. It is the best way to prevent this from happening again.
I'm not prepared to de-humanize our attackers by calling them pond scum.I don't have to. They de-humanized themselves when they turned themselves into breathing guidance systems for airplane-bombs.
Chances are, they love their children just like we do.This is the only way to prevent it. They love their children, you think?
Wonder if the next one will do it, knowing that all of his kids and all of his family, would pay the price. And then some.
They can do this again and again and again, just like we can.No, our military has not degraded to that point yet. We can still do things that no one else can.
And if we are wise, we will start doing some of those in short order.
The last thing we need is for this to spiral even further out of control.I agree. It must spiral up, but very much in control. Our response must be disproportionate and unforgettable, and very calculated and controlled. It is not so much vengeance but sending a message for all to hear.
You think you can kick this dog, but you have no concept of how horrible the bite will be.
Let's THINK BEFORE WE ACT.Indeed.
somehow I doubt my enemy is thanking me.Why? Because you have different beliefs than them?
I share almost no beliefs with your average Nader voter, and I assure you that I thank them to this day for their help in defeating Gore.
I bet that the enemy is not thanking people who think as you do. I think that they took people like you for granted, knowing they could count on you without even needing a second thought of thanks.
Stay well - Yorktown
This is the smartest idea I've heard on this site all morning. The time will come for such discussions, and I hope Americans are willing to engage in them when that time comes, else yesterday's "unlearned" history will repeat itself eventually, as it always does...
