A small majority of Jews in Michigan backed the Democratic Party’s winning candidate, Abdul El-Sayed, over Republican Mike Rogers in Tuesday’s Senate race***
El-Sayed has been one of the most outspoken critics of Israel this election season, with eliminating aid to Israel being one of his most central campaign messages.
Fifty-seven percent of Michigan Jews still backed him — though, tellingly, 78% of them supported the Democrats’ gubernatorial candidate Jocelyn Benson, according to an exit poll of early voters.
El-Sayed’s was likely lifted by less affiliated Jewish voters, who make up about half of the community’s 110,000 members, according to Jordan Acker***
It was the affiliated Jewish community members who were more divided, and who may have even swung in favor of Rogers, Acker speculated in an interview from his law office outside of Detroit shortly before the polls closed on Tuesday.
*** There was also El-Sayed’s campaigning with far-left streamer Hasan Piker, who has been accused of employing antisemitic rhetoric against Jews along with his uncle Cenk Uygur, whose political action committee funded an ad in support of the Democratic candidate that blamed the high cost of groceries on US aid to Israel.
But it was El-Sayed’s own comments after the Temple Israel attack that most upset many Jews in the state.
*** Acker linked the rise of the Democratic Party’s anti-Israel and sometimes-antisemitic far-left flank with its far-right counterpart on the Republican side*** “When Joe Biden was president, the Squad (of progressive Democrats) shrank. When Donald Trump has been president, it has grown both times. That’s not a coincidence,” Acker said. “Right-wing extremism leads to left-wing extremism, and those of us in the middle — who are most Jews in this community — are left politically homeless.” ***

Proving once again that the second-worst enemy of Jews is other Jews.
It is typical that the Jewish man in the article declared that “Right-wing extremism leads to left-wing extremism.” Yep, it’s the Republicans’ fault that the Democrats are antisemitic.
I wonder if suicidal empathy comes from the same genes that cause lactose intolerance.
It has been a bad week for Jews, with Netanyahu’s Likud still not being able to cobble together a coalition, and the majority of Jews in America voting for their executioners rather than voting Republican.
And how easily he switched to Arabic last night. If you don’t know, you don’t know!
No sympathy for those who support the people who will destroy them, and also destroy us.
You can add young women to the list as well.
Who is the worst enemy of conservative Christians in America? Leftist Christians voting for those who will kill ALL Christians (e.g. Islamists, Sodomites, Communists)! Nothing new under the sun…
Have they got the box cars lined up to move the Jews out of Michigan, yet?
THAT is what they voted for! Mind-boggling! Ugh!
>> Leftist Christians
There’s no such thing, in reality. The ideology of the left is antichrist, and antithetical to a Biblical worldview.
And the moronic crowd loved that sh\t.
I can’t muster even an ounce of sympathy for people who vote for their own destruction.
That any Jew (or Christian, but we don’t have statistics on that) would vote for this man is inconceivable to me. Imho, they are JINOS. I am truly shocked.
So more than half of the Jews voted for a Jew hating Communist. It is too much.
Explains why there was a holocaust.
“Fifty-seven percent of Michigan Jews still backed him”
Not surprising...at all.
Many Jews here in the US are self loathing, communists.

“Proving once again that the second-worst enemy of Jews is other Jews.”
And there is no first worse!
Most churches in America fly LGBT flags, or at least embrace LGBT.
I think Israel is losing a lot of support from American people including many Jews.
I think they took advantage of the American people’s goodwill especially with regards to Iran.
Iran is a big country and we have been too long involved in a middle-east debacle in a region which has been unstable for thousands of years.

I disagree that “most” do.
Regardless, calling your church a Christian church doesn’t make it one in substance.
The Left is in an alliance with Muslims throughout the entire Western World. Jewish Americans are the only Jews in the world who still support the side that hates them. Canadian Jews don’t. Things have gotten quite bad for them. You don’t see support for the Left among Jews in Western Europe. The Israelis are well aware of who their enemies are. American Jews still haven’t woken up. A few of them have but the majority clearly has not. If you could vote for El Sayed....who is closely linked to the Muslim Brotherhood, AS A JEW.....you really are completely clueless.
And to paraphrase Lenin when he said you may not be interested in war but war is interested in you. You can be as secular as you want. You may not really consider yourself a Jew. Rest assured, Leftists and Muslims will certainly consider you to be a Jew. A lot of you are going to learn that the hard way.
